Is there any negotiations when purchasing a new Porsche at a Porsche dealer? For example, if I'm looking at a new 911 cab with an MSRP of around $130K, should I expect to pay that, or is there "haggle" room?

depends on many things... like how long has the dealer had the car, how soon can the dealer replace it, how many more are scheduled to be received, etc... most dealers are not overstocked and are selling through their inventory as it comes in... a modest concession seems probable while a deep concession on price would be doubtful... interest rates are relatively low for the dealers, decreasing pressure to move inventory quickly not an issue

If its a brand new, non titled car, then yes, there should be room for a discount. I suppose it could depend on your dealer, relationship, etc though. I've read there is anywhere from 15-20% profit on new vehicles. Not sure how accurate that is but Porsche is one of the most profitable auto makers in the world.

In recent years I've order 2 new 911's.....got 8% off MSRP on both.

Well it is a brand new model so I'm thinking not. The deals I've seen are on the 991.1s here in Los Angeles.

I think it depends on your geographic market and the number of options you are willing to pay for. P Cars options can shoot up the price tens of thousands quickly. Being that you are in snow country, your bargaining power goes up in the fall.

Costco's new car program includes Porsches. AAA might also.

Plenty of posts on another forum from guys receiving 3-8% off MSRP for 991.2's....including California.

OP, do not pay sticker. Negotiate your discount.

Thanks guys, I probably should have specified, that I will most likely need to "order" the car, as I doubt anyone will have the combination I am after in stock. I don't know if that increases or decreases my negotiating power.

8-10% off MSRP would be fantastic! Pretty much a free upgrade into the AWD version of the car!
