It's really crazy what the cars can do nowadays. I have a '12 Turbo S. The car does 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. I drive 8 miles to work where the speed limit doesn't exceed 35 mph. What's next? 900 hp, 0-60 in 1.2, 290 mph top speed?
To me the most impressive thing about the Turbo/Turbo S is the fact that it can do sub-3 second 0-60 launches repeatedly, seemingly without strain. Not so long ago I watched a Porsche Sport Driving School class - say 20 folks - line up to go for a 0-60 launch ride and then do the 0-60 launch themselves. That's 40+ runs, back-to-back-to-back. The 911 didn't even hiccup. Amazing, amazing car.
