Hello Porschephiles. Some of you may have noticed that in other sections of Ferrarichat we have begun to release No-Drill front license plate mounts for many Ferrari models. In fact at present we have mounts for almost EVERY Ferrari from 1948-Present. With the task of ridding Ferrari owners with the burden of how to cleanly mount a license plate to the front of their car we have now turned our attention to solving the same problem for Porsche owners.

Instead of immediately going to the Porsche forums we thought we would give a sneak peek to the F-Chat community to showcase what Porsche owners can expect no later than the beginning of October.

    Now for the cool details:

    - This is NOT a tow hook mount that sets the plate all ugly and offset to the side. We specifically design mounts that fit in the middle so the car looks even and symmetrical.

    - The mount is held on via a clever self-centering spring loaded bracket. This bracket allows for the plate to be taken off and installed in seconds with no holes, velcro, or double-sided tape. The install is totally non-intrusive and does zero damage with all main contact points protected by custom foam pads.

    - Our plate mounts are high speed tested and do not interfere with the cooling or stability of your Porsche. While we always recommend plate removal for the track we have track tested and found them to be totally reliable.

    - The mount is perfect for owners who just don't want to drill holes but want to conform to the law. The quick release nature is great for car shows and washing. For customers wanting to press their luck a little more, it is a great carry in the trunk piece that allows for a super quick roadside 'fix' in case a cop stops you. 'Oh sorry officer I just came back from a charity car show and forgot to put the plate back on'

At present we are finishing mounts for the following cars:

    997 - GT3 (all variants including RS)
    991 - GT3 (all variants including 911R, & RS)
    Cayman GT4

If you are interested post here or PM us and we will be sure to contact you as soon as the mounts are ready to ship. Also feel free to let us know what you think.

Remember you saw them here FIRST and please feel free to cross post the images and info here on some of the Porsche forums as I am sure this would be welcome news to the Porsche guys who are sick and tired of the tow hook option.

Now for some photos (BTW the mount works with all size plates making it a truly global solution)

Regrettably we just could not generate enough interest from the 360 crowd to justify developing a bespoke mount for that unique application. It appears as though most 360 owners are happy with velcro and double sided tape.

Enough Ferrari Chatting this is a Porsche thread after all :D

Don't worry he's started plenty of other Carbonio license plate holder threads on other forums here. I'm just glad that other vendors respect fchat and do not spam as much as this place does.

I apologize if our posts come off as spam however we are faced with a bit of a dilemma in getting the word out. From experience if you don't spread the word then owners are left out because they generally don't find out about the product naturally. In our case we have applications for almost every car since 1948. Lots of F-Chat visitors go to only the specific section that applies to the car they own which forces us to post in each of those sections in order to inform those visitors of our products existence. To that end we have made a very conscious effort to spread out the posts to 2-3 threads every few days and to make vehicle specific posts that are not just full cut and pastes from section to section. This way we gradually get the word out without a one or two day bombardment of 20+ new threads.

Regrettably there will always be a small group who are put off by commercial posts and there is little that can be done about that. From our perspective we run a small business that is fueled by enthusiasm for the community. We try hard to balance our commercial needs with the desires of F-Chat visitors offering information and sharing our excitement when we can make their ownership experience that little bit better.
