I have my 79 930 at a body shop for restoration, what I need to know is when Porsche switched from snorkel head light washers to the flat ones. Also need to know when they started using head light trim rings with adjusting holes for the head lights. Any help will be greatly appreciated
Please see the first page of the F-chat thread; 1979 Porsche 930 (and .78s too). It comes down to the VIN and the production date. I think the consensus here is a VIN number of 800 or later and a production date of August - December would have these changes. Adjustable trim rings and flat washer heads (still available) correspond to a late '79 VIN/ production date. Snorkle washers were installed on vehicles in June or earlier of '79. What's the VIN.
