Once again, a model manufacturer fails to do proper research. The most likely reason for the mistake with the shields is that whichever car(s) they looked at and used for reference had them added on, and they thought they looked good regardless of not being correct.

They often work with whatever cars they can easily access. A case in point was their 1:12th 427 Cobra. They made all versions based on a new CSX 4000 series continuation car, not an original.

Kyosho, CMC, BBR, AutoArt, Amalgam, Spark, and almost every single other manufacturer always miss some of the fine correct historic details, as well as bigger misses too. No one seems to care to do proper and thorough research. They all go to "it's good enough."

I m agree with you Lusso. In this case in just regret they haven't made a correct model, the good one was the real 84 version, monoscopio should be better. Here, they give me the impression to realise s model for a major customer sells.

Christian, here you go, even though it is frm a 308, but for a model, it is more than enough...
If you really need a Dino photo, I need to know which series, as there are 4.

I think so...Here is the car I drove, the earlier version. I actually drove 2 of them across the ramp, a Martini car and a Totip car after the were unloaded from the transporter. Both cars motors were very hard to keep running, but they had just finished a race that week. Everybody thought I was the Italian car expert because I had a Alfa GTV6 with a Sperry head and Auto Delta cams that sounded crazy and idled at 1500rpm.

Finally I stay away from new models like Daytona, Dino, Tr.
Noriaan and Lusso are specialists for this product, they have some great arguments in some post above.
    Check us yours Candide!

When I bought these, it was a Dream.

When CMC was at their beginnings, AutoArt too, UTModels...

    Now, I've re-considered my position.

CMR have announced a 1/12 BMW Mi in Piquet colours. Does anyone know if they are doing other versions? I can't seem to find a web-site. Thanks

They will probably hold value compared to the factory stuff. What models made by ABC Brianza are you talking about?

Top Marques only produces built models. The 1:12 Dino models, 246GT, and later GTS, will only be made and sold as fully built models. Limited run. The GT will be available very, very soon. My company will be importing and selling some. Colors are red, Yellow, and Blue. All three are already almost sold out at the factory. If anyone is interested you can send me a PM.

They are what they are, considering the time they were made and the skills involved they are very nice, some are better than others, but no comparisson to models made today. Old school is the best way to describe them.

I like what you wrote Norrian! Old school, with time, hand, passion...is the best.
    But which cost?
    Today, everybody wants to have:
    Bonito, pequeño, barato.
I m for new models, everybody is different, with their own taste, also I have two old ones in my small collection.
But I can said old éléments are coming a problem with the time....you know.
