and of course this non-binding poll isn't worth the paper it's printed on anyway...
I agree with you there. Of course, if Labor and The Greens hadn't blocked the plebiscite in Feb (which was binding) this whole issue would have been done and dusted months ago, we'd have SSM and we'd now be talking about things that are actually important.
You know what's more traceable, posting everything about your life/cars/numberplates/faces on a forum that is indexed by google which has admitted to having links to the NSA At least there are safeguards in place with the vote https://marriagesurvey.abs.gov.au/safeguards
'pparently this funknuckle reckons it wasn't about sex....same or otherwise. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-09-22/astro-labe-charged-over-alleged-assault-of-tony-abbott/8975454
It probably wasn't anything about the "yes" campaign. Just another tolerant lefty doing what they do is a more plausible explanation.
Actually I think there are a few people who'd like to head butt the mad monk - several of whom are probably senior LNP members!
No. But then people shouldn't conflate one action with another discussion either... bloke reckons it was nothing to do with the yes campaign...
Registration has usually been on the Sunday in my short time in the club. We're starting off one night short and I'm led to believe there are over 100 cars registered for the Rally so it's going to be HUUUGE & I'm sure a headache for the Rally committee to fit it all in so as to get back to Smelbourne for Motorclassica.
Bloody disgraceful. I got this sms which can't be replied to. I thought it might be a Telstra thing, but a friend on Vodafone got it too. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Agreed. I got the bloody thing today as well. I've decided to vote no in protest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is what gives me the irrits about this "yes no" vote. Say you're voting yes and no one cares, but say you're voting no and see what happens! Apparently you're not allowed to vote no without being attacked by the yes clan. I really don't mind who marries whom, but I DO hate being told what to do.
please, please just vote whatever YOU believe is correct, not what the morons on either side tell you to do, or as a protest against stupid harassments.
Yep. Tolerance is obviously a one way street. I don't believe in rewarding bad behaviour. Here's the thing. SSM will happen in this country soon regardless. In the unlikely event that this vote comes in "no", Laborgreens will introduce it anyway when they get back in (probably next election). It's important to send a message to the ferals who have attacked and vilified anyone who dares to have a different viewpoint that their behaviour is unacceptable. If the vote is much closer than predicted or indeed if it does actually end up as a "no" you'd hope it would send a message to the "yes" camp that the way they conducted themselves is largely to blame. Having said that, they are so far up their own backsides that it's unlikely it would even register (just look at the idiotic Hollywood nutjobs still carrying on like three year olds about Trump). And, in the end, Laborgreen had six years to bring it in but voted against doing so at least twice. They then blocked a plebiscite that would have happened in Feb, and would almost certainly have resulted in a "yes" outcome. Not exactly the actions of people who really care, is it? For them it's ALL about politics.
They wouldn't be lying about how they got people's phone numbers, would they? Surely not!! http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/business/companies/ive-never-heard-of-that-product-samesex-marriage-sms-campaigns-random-number-generator-questioned/news-story/ada9fe38ceb2e0e2fa2cd9b83867f5e8
