I am looking for a cheaper diagnostic tool than the SD3 or Leonardo to work on my 599 and came across the Auto Enginuity diagnostic tool with Ferrari Maserati module. Does anyone have any experience with it and if so what are the limitations compared to the SD3. I basically want it to service my car, check clutch wear, diagnose problems like door/ window sensors, figure out car computer error problems and transmission service work. I might also consider it for other cars (Mercedes/ Aston Martin). Thanks in advance.

Totally useless for Aston, AE will admit to that. Limited on Fcars, enough to do basics, very little 'actuation' checks, there are cheaper alternatives out there, just as limited, but do more than generic OBD

Has worked fine for my techs (I bought it for them several years ago) on several Ferraris and several other makes including Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes. Performs all the F1 functions needed (bleed, self test, actuator centering, PIS optimization, life remaining readings). The $3500 Ferrari Maserati package includes all their software for European, Asian and American cars. My techs have been very happy with it and have also acted as a Beta tester for AE on the 575M. No clue on Aston Martin.

Dave- Do not actually know. My techs have used it on bunch of Ferraris owned by a rich client, and he owns a 599, an F12 and a bunch of V8s, but I do not know for sure. Can ask.
