Heads up, that the tickets for the FCA Ferrari F1 Reception are now available on the Hill Country Chapter website. This was a wonderful event last year. Thanks to Andy Fish, for putting this together! Got mine, go get yours!
Getting closer! I understand some special Ferrari guests are headed our way. See you at the Broken Spoke on Thursday night!!
We may be interested in attending, but will have our race car drivers in training with us (ages 4 and 7). How "kid friendly" is this event? From looking at the website it looks like a pretty nice evening. Also, what's the deal with the Broken Spoke on Thurs?
The FCA Reception is long SOLD OUT, as it's a formal dinner, capped at 200. ($175 ticket, too) I always start by meeting up with anyone interested, but instead of The Spoke this year (see the new movie "Honky Tonk Heaven" about the venue), JD McPherson is going to be at the Scoot Inn, on Thursday. I will check and see who is at The Broken Spoke Friday (after the Country Club party) and on Saturday. Would love to see you guys!! Let me think about something fun for the kids......The 'Belle', LaSalle's boat, discovered in Matagorda Bay is on display at the Texas State Museum, in fact the building was built, to house it. Other exhibits are there too.
The Spoke is just my normal Austin hang out, live music by great bands, cold beer, and pretty girls that may, or may not know how the dance. Both kinds are fun.
If any y’all up there, like to see ya. My endurance is crap on new pre transplant stuff, so clubbing is a no. I’m staying on 2 and West downtown. Will have one or other of the kids with me. Jim you have my # iirc and Tex can usually get rise on text. Mclaren paddock club. Nfi where I’m parking but it’s a matte blue grey 720 with weird plate Gotta use it before I can’t.
I have them available, PM me. $150 each. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/3-general-admission-us-grand-prix-tickets-150-each.562318/
I am sure GA will be available at the Sales Office Grand Plaza, day of race, possibly multi day savings. What time is the Party at Westlake begin, on Friday? FCA guys??
Not just seafood, but I recommend Roaring Fork's cedar plank salmon. Their sister company is Eddie V's, which is primarily seafood. If you want an awesome seafood restaurant that isn't classy at all, but has been around for many many decades, check out Quality Seafood on Airport Blvd (no where near airport, but was near old airport).
