I have copied this from Paul's facebook page. Each year Paul gets more of the Granders to display their cars. Should be fun.

"This is an open invitation to attend the Colorado Grand Concours d'Non-Elegance display on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Lionshead in Vail.
The Concours d'Non-Elegance will be held on the Saturday after the Colorado Grand completes its 1,000 mile quest around Colorado. You'll be able to enjoy the cars replete in all of their 1,000 road grime!

This year, Mercedes-Benz and Chopard, Hyde Park, Hagerty Insurance, RM Auctions & WeatherTech are returning to help the Colorado Grand to again raise more than $120,000 for Colorado charities and communities. Founded by Bob Sutherland in 1989, the Grand is recognized worldwide as the finest event of its kind, leading distinctive pre-1961 sports and racing cars through the Colorado Rockies each fall.

The Colorado Grand is celebrating its 25th year history and is indeed proud that it has raised more than $3 million dollars for small Colorado charities and towns. Among its beneficiaries are The Robert Sutherland Foundation (combating bipolar disorder), the Colorado State Patrol Widows and Orphans Fund, and other human service programs. College scholarships are awarded to students from four towns where the event stops for lunch and the Grand helps these often remote communities to buy emergency medical equipment. The Colorado State Patrol provides motorcycle escorts for the event, and local residents pitch in to help serve lunches. The Grand creates an unusual synergy among automotive enthusiasts, the police, and local residents.

We choose Pre-War cars as our feature for the 25th year. We have an incredible 25 pre-war cars scheduled including five Bentleys and five Bugattis, three Alfa Romeos including the incredible 8C 2900 B Spider, two BMW 328s, a Lagonda, Alvis, three Jaguar SS100s, MG and three domestic entries including Chrysler, Packard and the Tommy Lee Kurtis Speedster. We have 22 Ferrari cars including four 250 Tdfs, 250 TR 59/60, 500 TRC, several one-offs such as the 375 America Coupe Speciale, the 250 GT/Comp 61 Speciale and the beautiful Series II Superamerica. Other notable Italians are represented by a Maserati 200SI and 300S, three Lancias, and the diminutive Cisitalia, OSCA and Siatas. The British contingent includes three C-Types, four ACs and an AC Zagato “Double Bubble” coupe, two Aston Martin DB4/GTs and a Austin Healey 100S. Not to be outdone, the German contingent features three 300SLs, a half-dozen SL Roadsters, three Porsche Carerras, a 550/1500 RS Spyder and a 507 Roadster. A Packard, Chevrolet and Ford round out the American classics. Great sports racers come from Allard, Bocar, Cunningham, Devin, Fitch-Jaguar, Jaguar-Aston, and three Kurtis-Kraft roadsters.

To get to the concours, simply come to Vail and take exit 176 from I-70. Take a left off the ramp around the first round about and head towards Vail. Take your first right at the next round about heading along the frontage road. From this roundabout you will be traveling a 1/2 mile where you can park in the parking structure on the left just before East Lionshead Circle. The show is located in the heart of Lionshead just South of the parking structure."

Sorry, I'm confused. Is the invitation to put a car on display or merely to attend and view?

Nevertheless, I'd be interested in meeting up with you Camchain.

The invitation is to view the cars that took part on the Colorado Grand. To my knowledge there will not be any parking space reserved for spectators cars. Sorry for the confusion.

    Some Canucks are coming!!!!

We had a ball last year, even though we were the last two cars to complete the Grand.

The Tommy Lee Speedster took about 20 gallons of the Colorado river to finish but we refused to put the car on the trailer.....it's a good thing the final drive was from Glenwood Springs to Vail along the I70 and the river :)

Our Alfa decided to protest with a bum brush in the alternator so we finished the rest of the final day on the battery and it died in Glenwood Springs......so off to Napa for a battery and off we went.

Spectacular country, incredible roads and the best people going. The towns we visit for lunch are just awesome, I come home the size of a warehouse. The food the townsfolk prepare is simply the best.

Welcome! The weather should be nice because it's rained a year's worth of rain here over the last few days. I'm sure you will hit some crazy weather in the mountains but I'm betting it will be really nice.

Hopefully I can make it to the show this year. Really, the cars shown are as nice as what is at Pebble Beach. :)

    Here's a shot from the 2011 show.

I'd like to caravan up with somebody. I thought the Ferrari club was going to put something together but I guess a lot of those guys are still on the Fall Foliage tour.

I live a little further up the hill so either you guys could meet me at the El Rancho exit or I could meet you down at the park and ride. I'm down with whatever.

They will be on display on Saturday so give it a few days. Also at some point the CO 1000 website will likely have pictures from the event.

Cool, hope to see you on Saturday.

Can either meet you in the Park and Ride, I will be in the Silver Lotus Elise at the north end of the WM parking lot, or PM me a cell number and we can text/call you when we are getting near El Rancho.

Thanks everyone for the heads up. I am trying to meet up with the FCA crew. Either way, I'll be there. Can't wait!

I just got an email. The Ferrari guys will be meeting at the Full Steam Ahead coffee shop next to the Conoco; the one adjacent to the lot. We're meeting at 7:30 so maybe all the guys can drive up together.

Love these unusual Ferrari's. I'm hoping I can get serial numbers for the Vintage crew (hint, hint).

OK, making a list, checking it twice. I'll get back to you. :)

I only ask because once I post the images, someone will ask me. And I like making Marcel Massini's day. :)

    Nice TDF,

5 of my friends (3 cars) are doing the Grand this year. Spoke to one of them on Tuesday night and he reported there is a great collection of cars this year. unfortunately, his clutch went out... but he was given a MB to drive the rest to the Grand.
