I hope to finally get move full time to our Breckenridge home in the next 2 years. How many months a year can the Ferrari be used regularly?? I know up at 9500ft that the winter can start in mid- late Oct. some years and it is not until May that the roads are snow and sand free. I would assume Denver can be year round except for the occassional big snow.

I have homes both in the Denver area and Breck. Guess it depends on your view of gravel.

    April-November almost every day.

    December-March a few days a month.

took her out today. top down. sunny and 50sF. Next week looks great as well.

Got the car March 2, 2012. So far over 12k miles 99% with the top down.

Condo in Aspen 8000 ft, House in Basalt 6700 ft with half as much snow as Aspen 18 miles away.

Once or twice a month, every month. Unless it rains all four weekends in a given month.

Totally agree. Its not the weather, but the gravel. Especially up in Breck, there will be gravel everywhere. At least in Basalt, Durango, you can head towards the desert and avoid the gravel in the high country. Breck IS the high country and you will have significant gravel everywhere.

Doh! I'm an idiot. I was browsing all of today's posts and didn't realize this was a question asked in a regional forum! Too late for me to delete it.

San Francisco... a city that could not possibly exist if it snowed there.

Your car will get rock chips in Colorado no matter when, where or how often you drive it. It's just a price to pay for living in the rockies which are composed primarily of decomposing granite. Having lived both on the front range and in the mountains, I think it is actually worse in metro Denver probably because of the constant heavy traffic.

We have had over 35 inches of snow on the ski mountain in Breck even before this up coming storm. We get less where our house is but our driveway is on the north facing side so there will be some snow on it from now until april-may melt off.

My drive gets plowed when there is an inch or more. Not needed yet...just traces of snow.

Funny, I think you and I built our homes in CO at about the same time. As I sit here in Vail, I wish I had the Ferrari here. It's been such an awesome week of sunshine! This spring I'm definitely sending her out here. Of course there's plenty of sand on the roads but I wouldn't worry too much about a respray. Unfortunately, I'm not lucky enough to be able to move out here full-time yet and will likely still be travelling back and forth from the East coast.

I had the 348 out yesterday - mid 60 degree temps in Lakewood. Will be doing the same today. Love the 60 degree weather in November/December. By the way, I live in Conifer, 8200 ft., and the field grass on my property is still green.

Drove yesterday with the top up and back window down so I could hear the engine and exhaust better.

It was sunny but temp only in the 30s. Very little traffic. No bicyclists. Fantastic.

I'm seriously considering studded snow tires for the 328 next winter. Spent too much this year on ski equipment and a new plow truck, but next year... This parking for months on end crap is for the birds.

Yeah, this was my driveway this morning as I was getting out to plow in -4 degrees. At least the truck heat works well and the CD player for my honky tonk plowing mix...

We got a long way to go
and a short time to get there
but we gonna do what they say can't be done...

    These roads are certainly not fit for any Ferrari, well maybe an FF, but should be great on Ajax today;
