    The fall colors are NOT quite at peak yet in the Victor / Cripple Creek area, still lots of green. I would imagine next weekend would be pretty good!
    If you are in the area, I'd recommend taking the CR 821 cut over road between Victor and Cripple Creek, not many aspens up there but it is a ~3+ mile, very nice road that goes past the huge gold mine. Pretty impressive to see, and there is usually no traffic....maybe a few cows.

    Ha! We were there yesterday as well, let the kids pet jenny (the donkey roaming through town) We plan to try again next week and see if the colors are more vibrant. thanks for the pics!

    Close to your area....take 96 to Wetmore, then 165 Past "Bishop's Castle," reverse the route and head to Westliffe for lunch, or continue on 165 to Rye. I've seen good colors in those areas over the years.
