We remove the gearboxes by pulling them out the rear with the car on the floor (rear bumper can stay on, diffuser removed). You will have more...
There is no oil pan on a 430 - the block is in two pieces which clamp the crankshaft in place. The engine is pretty straightforward to remove...
A few thoughts... 1. A plastic tool will not be man enough to undo end of stroke studs that have been siliconed in. 2. Even the Hill wrench has a...
I've also got a 360 engine apart and will need main bearings soon. I've just visually compared a new set of 355 main bearings (aftermarket) to...
I think I can make a good guess what's happened here. There is a misprint in one of the F430 workshop manuals - section D3.01. It lists the...
I am the person he called.
Rebuilding the box is very straightforward but I'm extremely reluctant to take on engine/gearbox rebuilds that I'm not responsible for the...

F430 + Blinking gear display = Potentiometers in almost all cases. It's such a big problem that the factory have ran out of sensors. They have a...
Sorry for the tardy reply - I've been busy in the real world. Drain the fluids. Seats out and hatch off. Frame out and valve covers off....
You cannot buy part number 248095 any more. The Ferrari factory ran out a while back and I bought the last six sensor pairs from the Maserati...
The front chest? You don't need to take the engine out. 10-12 hours at my workshop depending on how the job goes.
It probably will work - I've switched across different part numbers for this unit between 360-430 and 360-4200.
Those are bolts for the front under tray.
One of them is NLA and an off the shelf dowty is too big OD to fit. Use a copper washer instead.
