    Hi all

My hood on the 355 is currently stuck halfway up, ive taken a look at my fluid and it is below minimum so I need to top it up...... not easy !!

Can anyone tell me how to do this ??

I have the ferrari fluid, and have taken the screw out the side of the power mech but cannot get any fluid to actually go into the unit, it just spurts back out .... am I missing something ?? Is there some special tool i need to get this fluid in ?

    Cheers
    Scott

To top up the oil level, tilt both seats forward and remove the protection cover that sits in the centre of the rear bulkhead. This will reveal the hydraulic assembley, remove item "B" by removing the two allen bolts, this will reveal a 13mm spanner size bolt, remove the bolt and using a syringe top up to the correct level.

Now you know why they charge 140/hr?? Techs only see small fraction of that though.
Check your headlight fluid too... ;)

New member, the info is greatly appreciated as closest dealer is 2.5 hours away and not the most straight forward.

There's a special fluid to do the top up .... marketed by Mercedes .... called Hydraulic ZH-M. Normal hydraulic fluid can screw up the seals I'm told. True/false ..don't know but probably not worth taking the chance.

    Regards,

    Pete
