just saw a sweet yellow 348 giving it some stick on the corner of greenhill and glen osmond.

otherwise seen a bunch of various classic adelaide entrants pottering around the place, most significant today was some classic old maserati thing, looked sorta like an old racing ferrari (think munsters era)

well apart from the millions of ferraris getting about adelaide at the moment... an odd 'spot' but when i was with mhh yesterday in gouger we're just standing there and some bloke comes up and starts chatting to the other guy with us, i'm thinking 'hmm he looks familiar'... oh, it's Brocky! haha

Oh yeah and I also got up at 6:30am so we could dodge the security gaurds and rangers to get a trio of Ferraris (and a HDT Commodore thingy) onto the South Perth foreshore (which is fenced off) - so individual pics of each car and then a few group shots. :)

**WARNING, PICS OF RED FERRARIS BELOW** :D

a ton more pics but no time to edit them now.....

I think Hobart has more high rise buildings than Perth. Who would have thought?

haha they're all just bunched together in tassie.

after coming back to adelaide from perth a few years back i couldn't believe just how short adelaide is in comparison, i just remember driving a few k's from the city and wondering where they'd moved the cbd to

a couple of the buildings in perth are double the height of adelaide's tallest, which is the santos building. that has something like 24 storeys or something. my mate did the stair run up the tallest perth tower and i seem to recall him mention something about 50-odd storeys...

edit: in dingo's last pic, the building between the two tallest ones, that's what i reckon the santos building here would be. the view from north adelaide:

my brother works in the building on the far right (blue one, in the pic with the jetski) and thats about 40 storeys.....so the few that are taller would be about what your mate said.

Gee you take good Photo's Dingo.
Perth may have a couple more than Hobart. The thing that struck me about Perth was how new everything seems to be. Freemantle seemed to be as old as it got; but away from the main drag it was still relatively new.

funny, when i was there i dubbed it 'the city under construction' as EVERY street was half blocked up with construction stuff. annoying.

the other thing i thought about the place is that it'd be a great place to test the aerodynamics of vehicles, as those cbd streets become wind-tunnels when the freo doctor comes through, it's insane.

Thats true, everywhere you look at the moment there is something being built or renovated. On my street alone about 5 new (upmarket) apartment buildings are being built, all replacing old rotten ones.

    EDIT: basically what Ash said.

don't make me post more pictures..... :p

Its only a hobby - but one which so far has helped me get close to (drive/ride in) some very nice cars (and even an F50 :p ).

However I did get paid for taking photos for the first time this morning.....I didn't want it but it was either take it or watch it fly into the Swan River.

EDIT : PUI anything from here (Max in attendance!)

hmm, actually at the classic adelaide street party i saw my first QP and 612 in the flesh. QP looked alright i guess... still not a fan of cars just sitting around amongst other pretty cars (it was next to an F50, what can i say  ), i like to see what they're like in traffic to know if they're jaw-dropping.

the 612 though... me and mhh were looking that thing over bigtime, i was amazed at the sculpturing that's gone into it, you dont see it in pics, but man that thing is like arnie in the 70's, it really is an impressive car to see in the flesh. the inverse scoopage thing it has going on is such a surprise! i'd never noticed that from the pics.

edit: oh, the little T-bar in the console (LHD) didn't do it for me though, it just seemed in desperate need of viagra. sure it's 'flappy paddle shift' but if you're gonna do something in the mid-console make it worthwhile or do nothing!

you obviously spend a lot of time on the southern bank...

the funniest thing there - and don't hurt me please - is that me and my chick-at-the-time and another dude were drunk and hanging around that area and we noticed just how many jellyfish (not the glenelg jellybean style) were there. you couldn't look into the water without seeing 50 jellyfish waiting to sting you!

anyhoo, my mate bet me i couldn't 'sink one', so i grabbed a rock, dropped it, it landed with a plonk, then sank a bit, then 2 feet underwater landed on a jellyfish and sank the fooker! i was so proud yet so so ashamed at the same time!

other intersting tidbits... perth doesn't have jetties whilst adelaide has like a dozen... why? because perth has surf! adelaide beaches - whilst populated with hot semi-naked chicks - are boring! perth beaches, they have REAL waves, the kind that adelaide would call a tsunami.

also, perth only has perfect seagulls. i NEVER saw a retarded gull in perth/freo, whereas in adelaide a good 50% have something wrong... missing a leg, two legs, a wing, cheeseburger on their face... etc. all retards migrate to adelaide

Spotted a red 612 in Carlton yesterday, Cardigan St.
The V12 sounds like a hearty baritone on speed! ;)
Friday saw a red Modena spider on the same street, no challenge grill, was going slowly so I couldn't hear the engine to its fullest.

The Aston Martin Vantage press car is on the GC at the moment.
It was parked on the street, and I didn't think to actually take a photo :(
....but i did talk myself into a drive of it on Monday :p

They gave it a decent squeese up the road. The exhaust note actually turns a little metalic / harsh under load :(
