I contacted the said dealer in Swindon who had MC12 in his showroom. Unfortunately, as expected he didn't give the VIN number. The car which is for sale at £490,000 is currently back with its owner until a serious buyer comes along is on UK registration plates WX54UOG Hope this is not too vague and can only apologise for not getting the VIN, maybe you can tag the number plate somehow, I'm still convinced its Frank Mountains though
then....you lost your bet!! What are the contact details and name of the dealer? Can you send his details privately via email: [email protected] Many thanks. Ciao! Walter
It IS Frank Mountain's first MC12, 2004 production. It was used in the Top Gear video, it was the one which had a minor damage on the rear wing while it was driven by him in the snow, in the Fifth Gear video. Now Mountain owns a second MC12, a 2005 production.
Again: IF ANYONE OF YOU HAS THE CHANCE TO SEE A MASERATI MC12 AND BY CHANCE, YOU CAN SIT IN THE COCKPIT, PLEASE, TRY TO CATCH THE CHASSIS NUMBER!! IT'S UNDER THE PASSENGER'S SEAT: THERE'S A PLATE ON THE FLOOR OF THE CAR. JUST MOVE FORWARD THE SEAT AND YOU'LL FIND IT. Then, please, be so kind to inform us at [email protected] or [email protected].
Hi men, I think there is one entry in the MC-12 registry wrong: it listed the former blue/red-car (that is now repainted red/white -and possibly changed ownership??) as beeing #15440! According to my list this is in fact #12101( or am I wrong?)! So, who`s who in the zoo? Ciao! Walter
The Team Box - Megadrive MCC has VIN number #15440, it is referred to the blue/red car, 2005 Pakelo Racing livery in the Italian GT Championship. But if you tell me the 2006 livery, all red, has VIN #12101, then it is another MCC, a brand new one. Anyway, aren't the road cars that have VINs starting with #12*** or #19***? #12101 looks like a road car VIN number...
I have the Di Simone/Mika-Salo-car as #15440. This was in the press-section of Maserati-Corse! hmm..............! Ciao! Walter
Hi all, thanks to wbauemer we can list also the Pininfarina Birdcage 75th! We've also a new entry: one of the race models, have a new ownership. For wbaumer: I must verify your question! However I've updated the page concerning #15440 using the same material I received from Pakelo team. And wbaeumer (aka Walter) answers: there must be something wrong in paradise: I used the VIN-info of that car -now with PAKELO- that was given in the official Maserati CORSE-press section. Please check. As for all race-MC12 the individual racing history is VERY important for future lunies like us when they have to sort out everything we have to do with the 50ies cars, its very important not to make errors which will reate confusion. And Alveng, as you are a nice boy, listing everything for us: #12097 was delivered new to the unknown owner in Bergisch-Gladbach/Germany and #12091 was delivered new to the UK. Ciao! Thousands thanks, wbauemer!!!!! You're better than a wishing-well!!!!! But... are #12091 and #12097 Street versions or race versions? Regards Alveng
Se prima eravamo in 9 a ballare l'Alli Galli, adesso siamo in 10 a ballare l'Alli Galli!!! ZAMDF44B000019407 (but i am sure it is #19047, i am "pasting" what a reliable source, Carbon McCoy aka NNO, wrote me: anyway he is working for a check), 2005 MC 12. This car was recently delivered to Lorne Liebel of Canada, already owner of a Ferrari Enzo. No pics right now, but it is dressed with CA.MO.RA.DI. livery: no particular colour. Sorry for that sentence, it's a funny italian song!!! 20% completed!!!
UPDATED!!!!!! We have 10 frame numbers, 20%!!!!! http://www.0-100.it, follow the Language and Maserati section! Sorry but you're wrong... 6027WWB83 = 6022WWB83 The owner won't register the car, so he has to update the garage's license plate every x/month... And let the logo on pics !!!
why not #19407? I have #19405 as the EDO-car of Mr. Bareither in Germany. So what number is it? Ciao! Walter
Oh ok... i remembered it was #19045... My mistake. BTW, someone told me there are 5 MC12 in Germany... Is that a true voice?
In my database I have now approx. 5000 Maserati GT- and race-cars listed. Only modern car of interest for me is the MC12. Ciao! Walter
