I need to get some bodywork done on my 355 after a minor coming-together - some paintwork and a new front wing.

My insurer said I can take it wherever I want for an estimate but I'm not sure where to go - at the moment I'm considering Mototechnique, Panel Craft Elite, Verdi's, KHPC or Graypauls.

Does anyone have experience with bodywork at these companies, or can anyone recommend other good bodyshops, particularly around London? (Do KHPC/Verdi have in-house bodyshops?)

I'm more concerned with quality than price, but I’m thinking I should avoid places with totally over the top prices as (a) the insurer may not approve it or (b) it may impact on my future insurance premiums.

Do superficial body repairs done to a high standard detract much from the value of a car? Like a lot of them this one's had partial re-spraying before for stonechips anyway.

Yes, I did see that other thread but I just wanted to get more detailed info if possible. I tried doing various searches on this subject on here but I couldn't find much information.

Provided that the repairs are done to a very high standard and are fully documented it should have little or no effect on value, most Ferraris have had their bumpers resprayed to cover stonechips and scrapes with no effect on value

If it was my car and I was given a choice of bodyshop in the London(ish)area, I'd take it to Mototechnique, have a look at Kev's teams work and workload @ www.mototechnique.com

Or send Kev a pm he's an active member on here with the username telaio(http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/member.php?find=lastposter&t=111440)

let us know how you get along. I know Verdi's bodyshop is in Slough so it will be interesting to see how they compare. Have you used Verdi's bodyshop before?

I just got back from ABT where my car is and it looks dam good they just need to clean it which will be done on monday and i can have it back on monday night it took them a bit of time ( 2 weeks ) but that don't bother me all i want is my car done right.
I used Virdi last year and my car went back a few times befor they got it right and they would'nt tell me where my car was which was the most frustrating thing.
