Has anyone here taken notice of the US legal Koenigsegg? This car sounds incredible, beating everything in sight and available made-to-order directly from the factory for about the same money as an F50 and a lot less than an Enzo, which it beats in every measurement possible including rarity.
+1. Cool car, still would probably take other things over it, but we're getting pretty high up there in automobiledom. Different strokes for different folks, but no one could reasonably argue against it. Which is to say I'd probably still sh*t my pants if I ever saw one.
I live close to the factory and they are really sick cars. Not my bread and butter though. I'd have a Pagani, Lamborghini, Bugatti or F50 over it any day.
These Euro spec ccr are going for £360,000 and under. http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/cars_search.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=KOENIGSEGG&model=ANY&min_pr=75&max_pr=&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=gu1+2nb&miles=1500&max_records=50&source=0&photo=1&sort=3&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH
Carb - imagine a pure black CCX - you may go over to the dark side Even better, an unpainted, all carbon fiber polished body - wow! I have an order form. It's tempting.......
You really know how to toy with one's emotions. The Koenigsegg has been on my list of dream cars since way before it was US legal. An all-carbon Koenigsegg or, even better, an all-black Koenigsegg (black wheels, tinted windows, smoked lenses, etc.) would be flawless. If you need help filling out the form, let me know. I know some key words that really flesh out a form like that (ie, black, black, black, black, black and black, just to name a few).
-1. I don't like it. Too harsh to drive. In other words, too brutal. I don't like the shape of the car too. And the center console remembers me of those old home telephones of the 60s-70s. Plus, there's only ONE car in the world who deserves to show its bare carbon fiber... And its sound is even better than the Koenigsegg. But it's not US legal: at least, until 2008 .
The wheels aren't svart, the lenses aren't svart, the skirts aren't svart - this car isn't svart enough...
Plus some friendly comparisons in the Zonda and the Saleen. I think the Zonda speaks for it self. I should like the Saleen and I want to like it as it started life as a race car, and it's under 3000 lb. I just think for 500-600k there are some great alternatives. No. The MC12 is another special car, one i'd park in my garage for sure. Much better than the Enzo in my opinion. The car i'm talking about it's the new Pagani supercar. And believe me, it will be something from another planet. LITERALLY. So... Dear 410SA, i suggest you to wait before buying a Koenigsegg.
Black CCX in Norway: http://www.germancarzone.com/showthread.php?t=6130&highlight=rudskogen Svart is the correct term, or "naken i kolfiber". The next Pagani is rumoured to be due late this year so I suggest you wait to make up your decision untill then. And a Pagani won't brake down once/hour like a Koenigsegg.
I hosted an event with Koenigsegg a couple years ago. At the time we had a black CCS8 sold to one of our clients who was trading his Diablo 6.0 for it. He drove it around town and was somewhat disappointed. I have tons of pictures of the car. Pretty cool car, but still very crude.
Rumor has it that the CCX will star in the new Knight Rider film as KITT http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadgets/the-new-knight-rider-kitt-199126.php
