Got her back today. After I bought the F40 a year ago I had some buyers remorse bcus it had some electric gremlins, the brakes sux, slippery steering wheel, stupid seats, & NO friggin tunes

Well today when I got her back almost all those issues have been addressed. The F50 brakes actually stop & dont squeek like crazy, HUBBELL Inc fixed the electrical gremlins for me by rebuilding the circuit board, The new OMP carbon fiber & suede steering wheel looks & feels great. The Tubi straight pipes, Oh My God !!!!! worth every penny :) & now I HAVE TUNES in the F40. My stereo guys installed an amp under passenger seat then found some nice BOSE speakers that look like they were designed to fit in the F40 & The iPod is installed.

Next year I'll see about new turbos, bigger intercoolers, programmable boost control & a new rear wing oh & new black wheels for slicks :)

Yesterday I drove from Miami to Naples & back. Having tunes in your F40 is priceless, I highly recommend it :)

The tubi & F50 brakes & new steering wheel also helped.

    I simply adore my F40 now :)

    William, 3 Questions please:

    1. Did you wire the amp to the fuse block or did you go direct to the battery?
    2. Do you have the part number for the OMP steering wheel?
    3. Are you using stock wheels after the brake upgrade? I was under the impression I needed to go to 18" wheels before upgrading the calipers.

    Thanks!

    Jon

Is your iPod hooked up directly to the amp so that there is no radio head unit? I think that would be cool... with an iPod there is no need for radio/cds/tapes/etc... a very clean set up and you can unplug the iPod and hide the wire when you want the traditional look.

    hello,

with all due respect (as you own a F40 and i don't) but if the ferrari F40's steering wheel is too slippery and the carbon fiber racing seats are not comphy enough and the 2.9 liter twin cam 32 valve twin tubo 478 horse power V8 isn't music to your ears... buy a f***ing lexus!

just my opinion. i could be wrong.

The day you have the privilege of driving an F40, we'll continue this discussion.
And if you knew anything about cars, you would be smart enough to know that NOTHING compares to a Ferrari.

You'r not suppose to wire to the fuse box, only a ****ty bestbuy job or some hood install would result with wiring done that way.

to the OG poster why didnt you use car audio speakers?
