Sweeeet, thanks for posting. Great to see at least one supercar is being driven/still works, allthough it is a newer car.. 4 were supposedly sold to the Brunei Royal Family Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8U8izRHbDNA I've also found this Murcie vid... all new cars while the collection just sits in the garages Edit2: yay for the Phantom: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lro96cxnww
The answer I gave earlier was not entirely correct. I thought only the 'normal' cars, like the AMG's, were sold through dealers in Brunei and the more special cars were only sold in Europe/USA. But now I've seen a picture of an auction in Brunei with Ferrari's, Aston's and Bentley's. This auction is held every 3-4-5 years. It's forbidden to take photo's at the auction. I've heard that the cars are in really bad shape. here's the pic (the 348 is green ) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow you keep finding new things!! Where? I too once had a strong passion for finding more and more of the collection but at one point I just thought that I've exhausted all there was... seems I was wrong Chilidog, Citronella... we need more of your input here!! PS I'd love to attend one of those auctions..
you sure need lots of money to attend those auctions.....yes...we need more stories and latest pictures from brunei !.....btw...basman...where do you got those pics from...can post the link here ?
hehe, I was thinking the exact same thing a couple of days ago: how the hell is it possible that I keep finding new cars/pictures; I thought I had all pics allready. I've got some more pics wich I found in the last week and I will upload my gallery from time to time. And yes, you need quite some money to for those auctions. Not because they're selling special and expensive cars like the McLaren's or a Ferrari supercar, but because prices in Brunei are pretty high (I've read that all over the web). And then you need more money to repair/restore the car you've bought, because alot of them are in **** condtition.
Have you perhaps heard also how to get into one of those auctions? Or whether its invite only or maybe announced anywhere? :>
No, that's all I know. I'm trying to find out more information about these auctions. In the mean time enjoy this update. This time I've only done the Mercedes-Benz page: http://www.*************/gallery/129612/976/10.html S600 Armored Car (1 pic) CL600 (1 pic) S320 (8 more pics) SL730 AMG Convertible (3 more pics) S600 SEL V12 (6 more pics) S500 (1 pic) 560 SEC AMG (1 more pic)

wow...what type of mercedes are those and what does dpm stands for....btw...where do you people get these pics from ?
The first one looks like an S600, probably a V12. The second one is also an S-class and the filename of the pic says it's an V12 also; that must be a Brunei special, because IIRC the W126 models didn't have V12's. I believe DPM stands for the crown prince's car. Another DPM plate can be found here: http://www.*************/Pics?viewPic=y&source=gal&uID=129612&gID=976&pgID=10&pID=451894
Hi there. Yes, S600 usually means V12. And yes you are right I have never seen a W126 with a 12. Very cool!

Thanks for the reply, and I dont mind buying a few and slowly restoring them back. .. but i need to be invited to the auctions. hee hee.. well. would ask some friends in miri and brunei.. if they know of anything. Thanks nonetheless
One of the modified Cizeta's is currently offered for sale by Automobiles Vanderveken from Belgium. It's not on their own site yet, but it's allready put on Classic Driver: http://tinyurl.com/2qfdzu So, maybe they've restored it or gonna restore it? That would be nice.
I don't know. When it still was 'rotting' away at Talacrest they wanted a very high number for it (don't remember how much it was).
Seems VDV is selling some of the Brunei cars out of the Royal family locations in UK - Mercedes Argento Vivo PininFarina special (based on Honda Argento Vivo prototype), now for sale. Ex-Brunei. http://www.classicdriver.com/fr/find/4100_results.asp?lCarID=1738475&lManufacturer=10599
Wow, that's an interesting read. I want to check out their England estates I hope VDV wil sell more of these rare and unknown Brunei specials..
Heard a rumour he's still buying cars. Recently the Pagani Zonda F, 2 ENZOs, 1 Buggati Veyron, 2 SLRs, 1 MC 12 and the son recently bought the new F599 GTB.
Yes, that can very well be true. It's still an insanely rich family and in the past years they continued buying cars. But not in insanely numbers (like a model in each colour), but just 1 (or more, but not only to fill the big garages like Jeffri did). That's what I make of all the info that I've seen and what I've heard. I think that most new cars are being used
Thanks for the info. Any idea if they are still modifying them as they did in the past? If so I wonder what they would do to an Enzo...
