Geez thanks for the notice . So how many of them will want to come in April?? You're in charge of that lot
I was putting the new baffle Murray made for me in the sump, broke the dipstick so had to wait until today to get it fixed, was going to come down but a mate flew in from Sydney so we went and had a few drinks The car goes up to Marc next weekend to get a lot of things fixed, will feel a lot better knowing a Ferrari mechanic is working on it instead of the usual idiot usual idiot is cheap but causes lots of problems did you guys get much rain because the last thing I felt like was getting stranded in the pouring rain because the fuel pump has packed it in ?
I've never messed with any of my pics ( cos I don't know how to) , but I often bump the setting on the camera by mistake. Some cameras seem to get a different colour than others on the same subject. I've notice my pics of red cars look blurry on my monitor. Re the yellow, I find it depends on the time of day and the angle of the shot. Early morning shots (not dawn though) usually come out looking pretty true. The best colour I've got is around then anyway.
Didn't use the wipers all weekend. (and yes, they do work ) Was a really good weekend. Oh, I think you'll offend ff refering to him like that.
Especially as it was a weekend away. We had Sat night at Balina (north NSW) and was good to have a beer and waffle about cars all night. Drove back Sunday and had lunch at Byron Bay on the way home.
Yeah we went on a Sunday last time and I'm pretty sure that's the best time for most so and plans for any sundays in April then?
Brisbane to Toowoomba via Esk is a good run if you wanted to head west. Good fun out near summerset dam...
The 8th is Easter Sunday and the 15th seems too far away so what about April Fool's day which happens to fall on a Sunday? The joke is that no one turns up! Actually I don't care when it is but the sooner the better and I am unfortunately out of action until the weekend of 31/3 & 1/4. Cheers PS Thanks for the e-mail with the heads up on the topic jimbo. PPS Looks like you had a huge gathering for the club run!
They look like Ferraris from every other angle too. I left Louise in charge of the camera, so only have 3 shots from the whole weekend. I did do something right though, I bought her an ipod for christmas and it made the trip a lot better for her as Horse's radio doesn't work. As they say, happy wife = happy life. hmm, these ones? http://gallery.aussieexotics.com/gallery/2484817 (untouched) still half uploading and sorting a *LOT* of stuff, so the place is kinda like the first week of moving into a new house... but here's a few before/after pics, and most of these have pretty minimal done to them, as i said it's mostly just cropping and contrast, but you can see the difference it makes. The rear window panel on the soft-top of that Daytona is way wrong. It should be much wider, almost all the area of the rear panel in fact. Repro tops are available in the US for reasonable cost and would help this car look better, plus make it easier to see out of.
Dark blue car is a Scaglietti conversion with correct factory roof. Note how large the rear window is. My car had the frame modified to lower the roof line to get the "look" that Peter Thorpe wanted. He did this in 1978 when Daytona's weren't yet collectable and I also think he enjoyed annoying people in the UK owners club. That's why he painted the car VW Green at first, which is how it appears in Godfrey Eaton's book. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
