I don't think it is as big as 45mm... Thought maybe if you measure all the way out to the crown. Seems only slightly larger than my Laco Chrono...look at the pic I posted. I do like the watch, very nice... I like my Laco's better though. They are more stealth and classy. Just looked at the pic again, it may be 45mm when measured out to the crown after all... I like the size. Thinking about a U-boat 50mm, that will be one BIG WATCH! Can't believe U-boat also does a 55mm! James Austin, TX
New Ferrari watch next to the original pit crew watch, sandwiched by the FABULOUS Omega that Chris sold me, with a Tag on the left. I'd say it's about the same size as the Tag, maybe a millimeter or 2 larger. Chis, as always, provided top notch service on the Omega that he sold me. Oh, and if your FERRARI Pit Crew Watch craps out, I can tell you where to send it for repairs. VALENCIA TIME CENTER. Yup, he fixes 'em too. I'm on watch 5 or 6 from Chris I think, and each purchase is better than the one that came before it. I'm not buying big bucks stuff here guys, and he's treated me like royalty. Thanks for the kind words Dm, Service should not revolve around the price of the item. I am here to help everyone the best I can, regardless of the price of the watch
Thanks Dave, that's exactly what I wanted to see. It might be time to EBay the old Pit Crew and acquire the new Pit Crew. I always felt like the original was little small.

DUCATI watches.. I am looking for some feedback.. Would you buy one (or more)? $995 with Swiss quartz movement (also available in Auto for double the price). PVD case, tire rubber strap, 42mm maybe 43mm. Very Cool looking in person. So......Would ya spend a thousand on one? Thanks in advance Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I love Ducati's, but I would not say I am a huge fan, so for me at $1k, NO WAY! If I were a big time Duc fan (even if I didn't own one), probably... James Austin, TX
$1,000 for a quartz is a hard sell. $2,000 for an auto-- what are the specs? My guess is the Quartz is a Ronda and the non chrono auto may be a 2284? I am not a bike guy so I would not buy one and as a watch guy have major heartburn with $1,000 for a battery watch-- I mean Omega's Quartz's are that much and are probably 10x the watch. Just my $.02 -dsd
Thanks D, The quartz is a high grade ETA (not the G10), not Ronda. Not sure I wanna carry the watches yet though Really nice looking and very well made
If you're looking for opinions... I would be buying the watch more for the logo and exterior design than for the movement- unless it was a watch from a very well-respected maker who was co-branding, like the Ferrari/GP or Ferrari/Panerai. To me, this Ducati piece would be similar to owning the Ferrari Pit Crew watch, which sold for something like $400 if I recall correctly. $1K is too much. $2k is way too much. My $0.02 Gio P PS- when I was in the pits in Montreal this month, I didn't see anyone from the Scuderia wearing one of those Pit Crew watches
I agree with you on the branding part issue GP/Ferrari. But the Pit Crew watch is no where near the quality of this thing! Pit Crew I believe is a plastic case wtih only a Titanium caseback. The Ducati is SS with PVD coating. the SS case is much more expensive to produce than the Pit crew watch casing. Thanks to everyone that responded I was gonna give 6 away to the 6 people that said "DUDE I LOVE IT, I'LL TAKE ONE!" So, I guess that's not happenin
Too bad about missing out on the freebie- but I'll take a discount on a Ball EMII diver instead! No question that the Pit Crew watch is a less expensive product to produce, because it's made of plastic. But it did come in a cool box , and the Ducati's SS case doesn't (or shouldn't) equate to a thousand-dollar price tag. (I have a Citizen eco-drive GMT that shows pretty nice case and bracelet workmanship for $100 or so...) People would buy this watch for the Ducati brand, not for the quality of the watch itself- and I don't see the Ducati brand being worth 2-5x the Ferrari brand if you take the workmanship of the watch itself out of the question. Anyway, water under the bridge. Thanks for the sneak peek! Gio P
