I dunno if anyone is watching the Cotton Bowl, but Ole Miss just scored a TD and for us watching at home we missed it because Fox was on commercial...IMO this is BS and makes me want to turn the game off.

Ole Miss fumbled once and then TT ran I think 6 plays and got a TD. Then Ole Miss had a pass tipped and it fell into a TT player's hands and returned for a TD. Then Ole Miss drove down the field and got a TD, 14-7 TT lead at the end of the 1st Q.

And yes, Fox Sports sucks. Cheesy, complex on-screen graphics, crappy announcers, and they also have to plug brands and products in the commentary every few minutes. I was so pissed when I saw the BCS games were gonna be on Fox.

Tech has a few thugs on their OL. Solid win by Ole Miss. GO SEC! :D

Time for 'Bama soon. Hopefully they don't sleep on Utah. I don't care much for the UK-ECU game, but go cats I guess...

Alabama has been overrated all year. The proof was when LSU almost beat them and LSU played the season with 10 men on offense. :) But let's not count Bama out yet, I think they will outlast Utah

Nah, the game's been done for a while. Missing FGs and playing soft defense doesn't normally result in wins.

i'm really suprised by alabama, expected more of them. utah was the better team tonight, when it counted.
i still find humor in all of the long faces and tummy aches of the bama fans though!

Bama just didn't want to be there. Completely uninspired defense. Tackling was terrible. Linebackers sucked. Everything on D was sh*t. And only 2 of the O-linemen were playing their regular position, giving up 7 or 8 or however many sacks. Wilson could have done better getting rid of the ball but it really wasn't his fault. Just pathetic all the way around.

Props to Utah. Bama should have known that Utah would have been ready. They still didn't care.

I was hoping they would win, but they didn't look into the game at all. Too bad...I was hoping for a 7-1 bowl record for the SEC.

I think Javier Arenas was the only Bama player who wanted to win tonight.
Whatever, though. Season's over. Terrible end to what had been a great year.
    Go Gators...

Uh, SEC? - say what? I say again the Big 12 was FAR and away the best overall conference this season. SEC second, PAC 10 (Gulp) 3rd, Big 10/ACC and everyone else whatever.

    Go Buckeyes

Aero, never said SEC was not a very good conference, they are...just teams like Auburn, Tenn and the usual really good teams were not having a good year. You could argue Bama and some other teams stepped up, but now that the season is wrapping up do you really think the SEC is better than the Big 12? Just asking not attacking.

By the way does Utah get any votes for being the best team? WE NEED A PLAYOFF.

I think the Big XII South is a very good division. I don't know if I would say the SEC West or the SEC East is better than the Big XII South, but I would say that the SEC is better than the Big XII conference as a whole, yes. I know LSU was looking terrible at times this season but since they started playing Jefferson, their freshman QB, I think they are a very solid team.

UGA had 19 players with season-ending injuries, with most of the damage being done to the defense, yet they still managed to go 10-3 with a bowl win.

We'll see if Florida knocks off Oklahoma. If they do, then I think the SEC is better, in a year where most people, including myself at times, thought the SEC was down.

    Just my opinion.
I love college football and love that I am an Alabama and an SEC fan. We'd all love to see a better system in college football but I love the bowl games and hope they stick around. Straight-up playoffs I don't think I would be a fan of. Some sort of system allowing for the bowl games and then a sort of second postseason could be something to consider. Seems a lot of the sportscasters are talking about +1 now in between worshiping USC.

ahem,,,,,,,,,Utah outplayed Alabama completely.....But then, they are from the Mountain West and do not deserve any respect or that is what so many of you feel. Utah will be rated #2 behind the winner of the Oklahoma/Florida game. And I still say that the other Mountain West bowl winner, TCU (who beat undefeated Boise State), will end up #8. But then, they do not deserve any respect either do they???

They deserve tons of respect. They did completely outplay Alabama. But there are reasons why. Bama did not play well because the players just didn't care. And quite obviously to anyone who was watching, did not put forth anywhere near their best effort.

When you get into a bowl game such as the Sugar Bowl you have to come in ready for anything. Apparently the Utes were more better prepared mentally than the Tide. Perhaps the coach should have not taken the Tide to see Valkyrie (sp?) last night to hold them under curfew. That was mentioned during the game. Commentators said it was not the most uplifting movie to see.

I didn't catch that part about the movie during the game.
But yes I do agree that the players for Utah were more prepared. I expected Bama to play with the intensity they showed during the regular season and also in their fantastic effort in the SECCG. In that loss, they came completely prepared and ready to play, but FL was simply the better team. I say that because I saw the effort by the Bama players in that game, and I know that they could have played the way they did against FL and beaten Utah.

I know it may not sound sincere when I say "Props to Utah BUT...", but don't misunderstand me. Utah impressed me tonight and really surprised me with their speed. The MWC is a conference that has some good teams in it and they do not get enough credit.

4 non-BCS teams have played in BCS bowls, 3 of those 4 won. That's pretty good.
