1998 - First F1 (paddle shifter) transmission on a production car. My rare 1998 355 F1 GTS is pictured during a photo op near Yorktown, VA during the Inaugural "Ferraris on the Vine" event at the Williamsburg Winery, Williamsburg, VA, May 1-3, 2009. This US spec car is 1 of 6 the Ferrari dealer in Dubai, UAE custom ordered from the factory. It was brought into the US by Ferrari of Denver in March 2000, and subsequently sold to Ferrari of Washington (DC) in November 2000. The Custom items are: A darker color leather than the standard Tan, but lighter than Cuoio. Black piping and stitching on the seats. Matching leather dashboard, door wraparound, and airbag. Standard 355s have black leather in these places. Full roll bar, also covered in matching leather. Black carpeting rather than brown. Alcantara upper surfaces on sun visors. Extra Alpine speakers behind the seats. Image Unavailable, Please Login

1964 Ferrari 500 Superfast Pininfarina Aerodynamica blu italver ================================================ The Superfast also had a V-12 engine that was unique to it, a "long" block in which was found a distance of 108mm between the cylinder bore centers, a spacing that was typical of the "Lampredi" V-12 of 1950. This was, however, the only common point between these two engines, the new 5 litre (type 208) being given, of course, removable cylinder heads as with the "Colombo" designed V-12. With a bore of 88mm and a stroke of 68mm, its total displacement was exactly 4961.57cc which, rounded off to 5 litres, gave the type its "500" designation, following the same system which had given the last Superamerica the designation of "400".
