    Hey all!

Many of you here know me for my avid car spotting, catalogued mainly in the Denver Spotters' Thread and the Atlanta Spotters' Thread here on F-chat. On page 78 of the July 2009 issue of Automobile magazine, there is a nice article about me written by Preston Lerner about car spotting in Atlanta. Preston came with me for a weekend of car spotting and covered it very well. There are some great photos including several of mine. There's even a quick shout-out to F-chat in the article! Hope everyone gets a chance to read it and I hope everyone enjoys it.

    Best wishes,
    Doug

Nice article. About the comment "I hate people who own 911 turbos, for that money they could havea Ferrari". Actually some turbo owners do have Ferrari's.

Indeed. You must understand, though, that from my perspective when I'm on the roads looking for exotics, a 911 Turbo is an annoying car because if the owner had decided so, he could be in a Ferrari - which I photograph - instead of the Porsche, which I don't. From a driver's perspective, I have driven a 911 Turbo. It's an amazing car. :)

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone! :D

That's a really cool article. Congratulations Doug.

I noticed on there it says you haven't spotted a Tesla Roadster...is that a typo or did this all occur before you spotted the red Tesla?

Since the article was published, I spotted both a Tesla Roadster and a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Still missing the remaining three Ferrari supercars though!

Was the ZR1 black? I was passed on the way into the airport yesterday by a black ZR1. Pretty sweet car.

It's very cool indeed and I'm glad I've finally seen one! The ZR1 I saw was yellow. Here's a link to the post in the spotters' thread with some photos of it.

Was it Chamblee Tucker Airport? That's the same place I saw a black ZR1...is so, probably the same guy.
