The message center alert came on today saying brakelight out ( after carwash). Sure enough, my center LED brakelight not working now. Probably got water in it. Anyone have similar problem? Anyone replace themselves?

Umm, I hate to tell you but if it is that huge LED strip over the rear window that you're referring to, that is not good. The light was originally intended to last the life of the car and I know it is not at all your fault, but as such they designed them to be in there permanently and are not easily replaced. Costs ~10k (yes I'm serious) to replace because they have to actually unseal the whole window and those seals can't be re-used. Then they break the window out to replace the light. Then they replace new window, new seals and re-seal it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.

Interestingly, mine appears to be working again this morning. Maybe they do tend to stop working after getting wet. For $10k, I think I will grab the blow dryer.

awesome! glad it has worked out. i am not sure how many times it will survive that. you may want to see if there is something you can do to help ensure that it doesn't happen again. Such as making sure the car washers don't spray the rear window area with the pressure washer etc...

I am really glad to hear it worked out...

I will leave you with one thought... it wouldnt be british if something didn't go wrong when it got wet :)
