http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/_templates/NewsDetail.aspx?id=3059 cars so far plus the GTR and 599FX. Plus they are planning to give people 150000 credits so you can buy one of the DLC cars straight away.
Interesting solution for people who glitched up tons of money, letting them buy a Focus RS at vastly inflated prices. I'm not sure it'll completely work, since many will buy slightly less than they glitched, and they'll still have the mega-$$ cars they might've already bought, but it seems much preferable to the ban hammer.
How's 150,000 credits gonna buy any of those cars? All the cars are alot more expensive than in FM2, so I doubt 150K is going to buy anything.
I was just reading through all the Forza blog posts and does anyone else think T10 is being a little insane about this money glitch by saying they are going to ban 1700 users? Putting the time and effort into searching through all the users to see who cheated just seems a bit excessive to me, there was a loophole, people used it, they patched. Should be the end. The only reason people glitch or the majority at least, to go tune a car 100% or buy one of the really expensive cars. I get that the point of the game is to race to win money but really it would take months to afford a 250 TR by racing, I had to spend weeks on the auction house buying and selling cars just to afford one, thats not a lot of fun to me which is what the game is supposed to be.
Only 1700 users? I would of thought the number would of been at-least 10000+ haha. I think that is the point, they want you to play for months. It should end by deleting all the money they have(even money they earned legit) and all the cars they bought with the free money. Banning people is just silly.
IMO if people cheated, then banning is somewhat harsh but not that over the top - especially if they give everyone a chance to make good by auctioning those mega-$ Focuses. XBL T+C's do specifically forbid that kind of thing IIRC, so they'd actually be within their rights to have your whole XBL account closed I guess. Banning from Forza doesn't seem so bad in that light
I can't afford all these cars I took the 599FX for the test-drive Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is not "cheating", its using a loophole created by the game developers, well maybe no created but not covered up by them. You could also get a fully modded Nissan Z to be F100 class and people were killing the F-class leaderboards, thats a glitch but those people don't get banned. I would totally agree with the ban if you had to mod the game or something to do the glitch, but its just that, a glitch. Something not caused by any player and then used, it just doesn't seem right.
OMFG I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Think I need start saving up for most of these cars. I'm abut supprised that the 458 is cheaper than the scud considering that it is better. Also bit supprised in general about the price of some of the cars, like the gtr is only 150k. Which reminds me where is that gift of 150k from turn10?
Well, I must admit that I used the "loophole" in order to get enough money for almost all the Ferraris. I didnt buy the superexpensive ones though... I did not use it to overupgrade any cars or "cheat" in that sense. I just wanted to get the cars in my garage...thats all. I do tend to hire drivers to run the endurance races over and over again in order to keep money flowing when I am not at the game. This allows me time to spend with my wife, go to work, etc.... So, I have "earned" a lot of money doing that too. Guess I will find out if I am on the banned list or not when I go to get this update. PDG
oops..double post. I also bought and sold a TON of Ferraris and Lamborghinis and other cars as well. I would buy 'em cheap, then sell 'em high. Sometimes I made more money faster doing that than I did racing... PDG
