What would've been great is for Curt to use the onboard camera to get a "Jeremy Clarkson" shot of you with the wind blowing your mouth open! :)

Bill, it was my pleasure! :) I'm sorry we couldn't stay longer. As I mentioned we had another car show in Annapolis to go to.

Enjoy your stay in the DC area and keep in touch!

Lowryd99, thanks for posting your pics. I didn't realize that the Ford GT700 was one of FoW's cars. Did you by any chance get any pics of the engine?

Bill, no I didn't get any pictures of the engine on the GT700. I'll post more of the pictures I took soon. I'm glad I made the trek up to the event from Fredericksburg. What a great eclictic mix of cars.

What is the typical car count for any given Saturday? With the popularity of this event growing, what time do I need to get there by, to get a spot? I am thinking of making the 80 mile one way trip next week. Thanks to everyone that has been taking the time to post pics.

I don't know anyone who has counted, but I'd be surprised if it's not in the 150-car-plus range on good Saturdays lately. Today, people who got there as late as 8:45AM were parking on the access road. All the spaces in the front parking lot (nearest Katie's) had to have been taken between 7:15 and 7:30AM. I was there at 6:40AM, and I was the third car there. By 7AM, the main lot was nearly full. That said, several people always seem to leave between 8:15 and 8:30 (the Cobras, I know, have a breakfast to get to in Vienna, VA).
...But if you want a space, better arrive well before 7:30AM. Sad but true...

Thanks rcullom, looks like the long range forecast looks good so far for next weekend. No more excuses, just got to get my butt out of bed to see these cars.

    Ken,

Great pics! It was great seeing you in Great Falls. I agree, the Lamborghini Miura was a VERY Beautiful car. Without it we wouldn't have the modern supercar. But for me, I think the car that stole the show was the 1939 Bentley. What an AWESOME piece of machinery. I was trying to figure out the different shock settings. I took a detail shot of the locking mechanism. The Porsche Carrera RSR was another one of my favorites and I finally got a chance to see the Hennessey Ford GT 700. Although I still was not able to get a picture of the engine. :( The Ford Thunderbird was another beauty!

    Enjoy the pics!

The Bentley has been there before. This was just the first time I had a chance to see it up close. I'm sure it will be back. As to when?? That I cannot answer. :)

Unfortunately, I will not be at Katie's this Saturday because I have some guys coming to work at my house. Bob Collum also won't be there, as he's on vacation. So someone's going to have to post pics for those of us who can't make it. Any Volunteers?

I am planning on being at the Fairlakes Cars and Coffee on Sunday. I hope some would consider coming to that as well! :)

    Thanks Cheny,

I've seen your photography. I feel confident that in my absense, the followers of this thread will still get excellent coverage of the cars that show up on Saturday. :)

    Looking forward to your pics.

Dave, that 289 was VERY nice. Congrats to the new owner. Easily this week's star car!

As always, great to see everyone today! By the looks of it, it's looking to be more and more like Cars, Coffee, & Cigars! Might be time to re-stock the humidor...

    Have a great weekend, everybody.

Agreed, the Cobra was great as was the yellow Dino.

    Any idea who that was?

On my way home, a guy pulled up next to me to say that my car smelled really bad. I was in the '66 GT350.

How sweet. I thanked him. :)

I wish this world was full of real car people and we didn't have to interact with anyone else.
