New Monza Red 599

Monza Red was about the 45th attempt when LDM was trying to pick the 'new' red for the 599. While looking great in pictures; some people don't think the color is as effective in person... I like Rosso Rubino better. It is a very light sensitive shade.

HI Breck: just do a search with the Rosso Rubino and lots of examples should pop up. carbon took some pictures of a Superamerica in that color at FofAtlanta last year. There was also another RR Superamerica at a Texas car show. A nice 360 Spider and a 612 also were painted that color and appeared here in the past. Ron Tonkin had a 430 in that color to. More recently someone mentioned they have a 599 arriving soon in the RR shade...

Breck: you are right about the dark reds being close. When a picture is posted and the shade of color is not described; people will argue about just which color they are looking at! Rosso Fiorano (an out of range shade as Ferrari refers to it) is very popular with a certain Florida collector. Imagine that color with a white interior - it makes quite a bold statement...

599 in that color is gorgeous. They picked the best red color possible for that car. Perfect car and suits my style really well!

 

Mine is the Rosso Rubino that is arriving in 15 days or so. It will be very close to the pic above, and attached is the interior colors (with a very poor photoshop on my part) with Sabia and Bordeaux.

Sorry, no Challenge wheels, wanted to be different! Also, Calipers and lower rear diffuser will be Rubino also.

Right from the horses mouth...it caught my attention before when you mentioned a 599 coming in the great color 'Rosso Rubino'. Thank you very much for sharing the interior view of your color choices. Sabia may be a little more practical than white but still a great contrast with the rich RR shade. I noticed on the MS white 599 that he to had the body color for the rear diffuser. Your 599 certainly has that 'custom' feel about it. What was your inspiration for the Rosso Rubino color? Excellent choices there. Thanks kx5fast!

 

That p-shop really isn't bad at all! Your car is going to look smokin' hot, I hope you will be kind enough to share some photos when it arrives.

PS: Now you can get the calipers in any color you desire other than the black-red-yellow-silver choices??

 

With enough time and money Ferrari will do just about anything to custom build a special Ferrari. Porsche had a program called 'SPECIAL WISH' but Ferrari does the same thing.

And yes, Ferrari will do pretty much any thing you ask, for a price of course!

Anywho, beautiful car, I love the way you chose to do the interior (judging from the pic you put up earlier).

 

Last week in San Diego I ran the Quattroporte down to the Ferrari/Maserati Service garage and I saw a new 599 in this color that had been rear-ended... didn't look to serious, it was just sitting there with no rear bumper attached, everything else looked OK other than the fact that it was covered in dust.
