    Little is known about the first Spaniard who first drove a 125 monoposto in 1948, 62 years before Fernando Alonso's Ferrari F1 contract. It happened in Barcelona, at the Penya Rhin GP held at the Pedralbes circuit, where Julio González-Pola, also known as Julio Pola (in Venezuela) drove a factory car, initially assigned to Raymond Sommer. The car's nose was painted with the spanish flag colors and lasted for 38 laps when its engine expired.

    It's serial number is unclear, though some sources refer as beeing 02C; any thoughts on this matter?

    In this image, captured from a film presented by TV España is Julio Gonzalez-Pola in his Ferrari 125 02C just before the start of the 1948 Peña Rhin GP; can anyone identify who is talking to Julio?

    Podría ser Juan José Pérez Vargas, que era el segundo piloto de Julio en Pedralbes

    In english: "could have been Juan José Vargas who was the second driver of Julio (Pola) at Pedrables". Hope it helps
