Whats the latest news on the next Ferrari supercar? Are we going to see it anytime soon? It has been years now since the Enzo was released. All I have heard is that is will derived from the FXX project.

I still think we will see the car around April/May 2008 with official presentation at Paris 2008

I think it would have been cooler if they had it out by this year for their 60th anniversary, like they did for F50 and F40. :(

it's gonna be hard for ferrari because of all the competition out at the moment and the cars gonna have to withstand a few years of advancements performance wise, the enzo's done well, the f40's probably done the best in regards to standing the test of time, its still better than alot of supercars today. All i can say is i wouldn't like to be the engineer building that thing.

The car will probably have more than 700hp

    The long way home
Not if they revert back to the theme of the F40...

I'd prefer a stripped down, as-light-as-possible version. Surely Ferrari can deliver a supercar at <3,000lbs.

Exactly...Throw out the motors to lift the nose over speed bumps and the like. There really isn't anything I can think of that is built with the philosophy of the F40. Of course, it is easy for me to denounce creature comforts since I won't likely own one and all I want are some performance figures to drool over....still a boy-racer....

It will definately have to be closer to the 700hp mark as the new Super Vette or whatever name they happen to designate to it, is rumored to have around 650hp+. Of course it is still a Vette, but Ferrari can't have the top of the line Ferrari challenged by a $90,000.00 car. I also agree, that they need to go lightweight.

Isnt the F60 the enzo. It would have been the F60 (afterthe F40 and F50) but they were so pleased with it they named it the Enzo after ENzo Ferrari himself?? So this will be the F70

Im sure thats how it goes

The Enzo is not the F60, as jeremy Clarkson says. it was codenamed by the journalists, and Ferrari shocked everyone when they called it the Enzo.

Has anybody seen or photographed a car in disguise that could indicate that the factory is working on something special?
I haven't seen or heard anything, except F430 specials.............
So anything said is speculation, the Enzo project was identified by several prototypes. On the other hand which new technologies have been developed since 2003? More BHP? The F40 wasn't the strongest car around..... but surely one of the very best..... What would you do to improve an Enzo, besides the fact that the design is not to everones taste.
2008, is in my opinion to early 1987, F40, 1995 F50, 2003 Enzo ............... seems to me it will take a while longer. Or show the pics and facts I don't know of.

Thats exactly what i mean, its a vette and nowhere near ferrari standard but one of the best car manufacturers can't have thier flagship car, the height of thier technology overshadowed by a vette, lol a lightweight stripped car would be nice but i think market wise it probably won't be, for me personaly the enzo is a cruiser really not a track car, it might have pretty bare interior and alot of technology but its still not as track orientated as the f40 was and i think ferrari will probably continue this but who knows?

    here's an update:
it's going to have the ferrari logo, more than likely only 2 doors and 2 seats, and i still can't afford it.
