I might be wrong, but I think 18" is the maximum wheels a 348 can take without bodywork mods.

I think the stock set up looks great. I think such large rims would look foolish on a beautiful car like yours. Save the money and keep it like you have it, that's my opinion. Your car is awesome right now!

If you like them, go for them! I'm can't be 100% sure but I think you can fit easily 19" for 348 as well as for the 355". Handling might be better with 18" wheels but they look good IMO. I'm also thinking between keeping OEM wheels or buying aftermarket ones, propably if I go for aftermarket ones I go for 19" (but I will keep originals for the future purposes anyway)

You have to lower the car a tad to get the 'correct' look even if the wheels fit. The top sidewall height has to be more than the void from top of the tyre to the wheel well lip. Otherwise the car will look like it's on stilts or too tall. It's an optical thingy but the question remains, are you willing to lower the car a bit more since the 348's front spoiler is already susceptible to grounding ?

I don't think I want to get involved wit possibly lowering the car or a questionable look. I think the best resolution to the dilemma is to look for 18's. I don't think it's worth the chance of the car looking not right.

Speak with Paul Hill of Hill Engineering (Sponsor) 348paul. He's already advised some 348 owners on what's possible with 355 & 360 wheels. I think the main problem with the 360 is that the wheels are a tad too wide. There is a chap on fchat (US) who's got 360 wheels on his 348, they do look good, they may not be 19's though

I agree. The 18's are the way to go. I personally like the look of the 355 wheels. Alot of the people on this board do not like the '3 piece look' of the wheels in the ebay auctions. Also, the chrome is a personal decision that some like, some say is too 'blingy'. It is a tough call , but if you change the wheels to something more open, I would recommend painting the brake calipers. Use the search tool on this board to read about the cost and products available. I was thinking either Grey with red letters or yellow with grey letters.

I have seen a 348 with 19" rims on it at one of the Crystal Cove gatherings. Though I don't know what the width of the rims were. The guy had only had the car about a week, and was a bit of a prick when I tried to talk to him.

    No.

    You will need a 235/35-19 front and a 275/30-19

Assuming the 235 tire fits in front (width) you should be fine, that is assuming the offsets are proper.

    Expectations:

    Your lateral grip will skyrocket.

Your straightline acceleration will decrease a notable amount.

Side note, do not go over potholes with the above.

    Eric,

One word of advice, DO NOT DEAL WITH "oemstyles4less" on Ebay!!!! They are not selling quality wheels, they are crooks, and don't know anything about fitments on Ferraris or Porsche. I had the unfortunate problem with them a few months back and heard many similar stories from buyers. They misinform buyers about fitments and then charge you hundreds for "spacers" or "shims" as they call it to make the wheels fit, but that's after you spend a few thousand with them. Hope everyone sees this post, these guys are not going to be in business long. I recommend you spend a little more and get real wheels like HRE, Speedlines, etc.

Yeah and No. Yeah because the car was sitting too high. No because if he had lowered it about an inch it would have looked better. There was just too much wheel gap. But other than that the rims looked okay.

Great, I am glad I saved one Ferrari owner at least, hope the word catches on.
Good luck with your wheel search,

There appears to be a nice set of 360 wheels with fairly new Michelin Pilots (including new center caps) on Ebay with a starting bid of $2000 and a buy it now of $2500. They are in Hialeah. You could probably call and negotiate a price of less than $2500 over the phone. they are 18x7.5 & 18x10 wheels and look to be in pretty good condition.

Your cars look great with the 19's. Did you have to mess with the suspension or anything to get them to sit right?

I don't like the OE 348 so much neither.
But I spent a lot of $ for the spacers from Hill and by now the looks have improved A LOT. Due to this I will leave the wheels.

But, if you look at the 360 wheels on the 348... wow...

Please, don't buy "pimp my ride" kinda wheels, you have a Ferrari !

    ;-)

I AM NOT A PIMP MY RIDE GUY. I have never been that guy. I laugh at those guys. They spend all their money on their pimped out ride and yet they live in a shack. I see it all the time in the "not so desirable" sections of South Florida. I would say I'm more on the glitzy side of things, million + dollar home filled with great things and toys etc. The wheels I pick when I pick them will work well with the car.

You are correct. The 360 wheels do look great on a 348 Spider.
    Cheers

    PS
No need for spacers on a Spider.

    Are you sure?

I put 355 wheels on my GTB and still had to put 15mm spacers on the back.

The 348 Spiders had the wheels spaced further apart from the factory then earlier 348 models. It was one of the adjustments they made. The wheels don't sit as far into the wheel well. They are nearly flush to the rear fender.

Not sure what year your car is but the 93-95 348's had 25mm spacers that came from the factory. The earlier cars did not. Not sure about the 355 offset also.
