That's Ricardo Vega Serrador... He was at the Cavallino Classic... The serial number begins with 136; that information is courtesy Marcel Massini... Marcel was able to see that information in Palm Beach, whereas i was not... The car is not US spec, so there's no VIN plate under the windshield...

I have it in my database as assembly number 54738, NOT SPOTTED BY MYSELF !!
But I'm a bit confused now.
To people claiming it to be from another person.
Is this now Carlos Hank or Ricardo Vega Serrador (like I have it in my database) ?

    Greetz,

    Eddy

P.S. Hi resolution pics would greatly be appreciated and treated with the highest respect towards the maker of them (which means, rests in my private collection)

Ferraris sent to South America are all US spec so its really not that hard to get US plates on them. For most of the time the car sits under two covers in our garage and the car is rarely moved. He travels a lot I guess. As far as serial numbers and plate numbers, that is a strange request, I know you guys collect that info and all but thats a little car-stalkerish to me.

i don't know everything about federalizing cars and/or getting US plates for non-US spec cars, but i don't see how one could obtain US plates for a car that hasn't been federalized... As you said, the ones sent to South America were US spec; the Enzo in the pictures in this thread is NOT US spec...

As for serial numbers, we're not stalking anyone... We're just trying to keep track of the cars... Which ones are where... Though we would prefer it, we don't even need the full 17-digit VIN; the last six digits would be sufficient (ie, "134282", as opposed to to "ZFFCW56A430134282")...

NNO, this Enzo is not US spec? I was told by the Owner of the Ferrari dealer in Mexico who sold Carlos this car that it is US spec as with all Ferraris that come to South America? Is he wrong or am I misunderstanding something.

Im no expert, but I have spent some up close and personal time with a few Enzos. I judge the car in these pix as a Euro car by the tail lamps... it has amber turn indicators, whereas US cars have clear lenses. My avatar is an example of a US spec car. Im sure others will cite better determining factors as I know Carlos could easily change the lamps to his liking.

Well said, Greg... That's the easiest way to tell... Also, the rear side marker lights on a US spec Enzo are red; in the rest of the world, they're orange...

all the stalking, first and last name posting, whereabouts, etc is the best reason yet i've seen for not owning an enzo.

Hmmm this is interesting, the plot thickens...its funny on my way back home I just past Carlos crusing down US1 in the enzo, he is around so I will see if I can catch him and inquire, could this just be a Euro car imported to mexico? He seemed pretty sure he could easily get US plates for it since he figured its a US spec car and all.

There's no stalking; i think some people blow "tracking" out of proportion... Most of the information we discuss here is public knowledge... Names and serial numbers are constantly seen in publications posting concours results, auction results, etcetera... People discussed serial numbers just as fervently back when 250 GTOs were new and no one thinks it's nuts, now... If we were all discussing Spyder California serial numbers, no one would think anything of it, because they're old and most of them are accounted for... Serial numbers and names of owners thereof have been published in books... It's really not that big a deal... Lastly, other peoples' enthusiasm should never keep you from owning anything... Stalking isn't enthusiasm; but none of us are stalkers...

DJ, i think the most likely answer is that it's a Mexican spec Enzo and the owner is driving it around the US; nothing wrong with that at all... However, i would think that, in order for said owner to put US plates on the car (ergo, register the car in one of the United States), it would need to be federalized...

like Carbon said, no stalking is taking place. some of us are people who love researching these kids of things, and the serial number of a car is in no way threatening or odd or whatever. plates, the same thing. if your trying to find out the owners name and address, i can see that being labeled as "stalkerish", but none of us are doing anything to that extent. i really dont think searching for serial numbers and license plates is really that bad.

yeah, i'm sure the guys don't mind their first and last names along with tag numbers and apprx location being posted on the internet. you think it increases their risk of kidnapping, ransom, robbery, liability, etc? of course it does, but as long as you guys think it doesn't matter, than i guess you'll keep elevating the risk profile for the owners of these cars.

no no no, of course, we all respect the owners' privacy and information, we arent trying to find out any info about all of the owners. its all about the cars. as for plates etc, nobody should mind because when they drive them, thousands of people see the plates anyway. but this guy, one of 2 or 3 Enzos in mexico, a) hes gonna have publicity and a crowd no matter what, and b) its mexico. nobody has mentioned any mexican state or anything. also, even if you put this similar case in America, even still not too much of a risk is taken. for example, our city san diego has a lot of people. if someone wants to see my dads lamborghini, i personally dont think its a huge deal for evryone to know that he lives in del mar and has it at ruths chris steakhouse in del mar right off the 5 and 56 every wednesday evening, along with his c6 corvette and sl55. when people are trying to find addresses, phone numbers, to me that is stalkerish. but trying to pinpoint a car isnt that big of a deal. if this sounds like im talking trash to you again Ben, im sorry, no harm intended or anything.

    ps- Ben check your pm
