After discussing it in these topics: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/search.php?searchid=1485374 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=117751&highlight=softtop I finally found a softtop for my 348. It didn´t fit right away but a few blows with a hammer from the well know dutch specialist: www.carinteriors.nl did the job. Couldn´t be more happy! In the future I leave the hardtop at home. Folded this softtop fits on the ´shelf´ behind the seats so I can leave the seats in the backward position. Ricambi / Hill: my friends want one aswell, did you make any progress? Thanks! 3K!! I guess mine is for sale then. Could you please answer my question: how is the process of making softtops for 348/355 coming by? Earlier you mentioned a difference in latches. Beneath I posted pictures of different softtops, which is for a 348? Or are there just different versions which fit them both? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
1. We're not proceeding with the effort to remanufacture them. The prototype was spectacular, but the realities of the market size and required retail pricing made the project impractical. 2. Those bottom pins are pretty funky. I have never seen them like that on a 348. Do they actually fit properly into the female holes on the targa bar?
Too bad! Is the prototype for sale? Not sure what you mean (what's "funky", thin? long?). I think so, it's rock solid at the back. Those in front gave some more trouble but it fits (yesterday it prooved to be waterproof). That's why I asked if this actually is intended for a 348 or a 355. Please reply. I have custom speaker cabinets sitting up on shelf so I gave up trying to buy Falcons a couple years ago.
