This years Classic Adelaide has Ferrari as the host marque all with the official sanction of Ferrari Spa. Over 100 Ferrari's are expected in both the competition section and the touring section. Roads are F40 and F50 friendly as these have competed in the past. There are a heap of overseas Ferrari's coming from all over, some from Europe the UK the states and Asia. have a look at the web site if you want more info. www.silverstoneevents.com

Thats excellent news, and I'm serioulsy considering coming to Adelaide for the event if I can manage it. :)

Any news on whether any supercars will actually attend though (either Ferrari or something like a Carrera GT)?

    Dingo,

There was a Carrera GT in the event last year which was from the states. This year there appear to be plenty of great cars includeing 288GTO, F40, Enzo and also some of the older cars such as 275GTB, 250 SWB, Daytona's etc.

I think the web site has a list of entries. Doug

Over 100 Ferraris? That might be a bit optimistic just looking at the website, but still a great turnout and likely to be added to as the word spreads.

hahaahaaa, not to deliberately bring this topic down to my usual school grade level of humour, but i was scrolling through the entries list and there's a co-driver named Guy Chick. :D he's in the Competition section, i'd have thought he'd be more competitive at the drags... his driver is Greg Cocks.

    Thanks - I still don't see an Enzo though (or F50). :(

However there is enough great cars in that list for me, so if all goes well I will make the trip (another one). :)

wish or hope cos it still looks futuristic in 2005,

all the best for the run, would loved to have gone, its a pity we could'nt get more of the SFR to come along, its the sorta thing John GT3 would have gone nuts over.
