How's that?Pics now at bottom. Davey, it was a very slick presentation from A1. Racing and overtaking was a bonus. i hope the series does well, it deserves to.

good stuff tone .... steve the sheep and i discussed the merits of A1GP yesterday and concluded that race day would far outshine the rather dull qualifying .... what little i saw of the race proved to be far more "watchable" than the brazil GP.
I agree with your comments re Stewart ... a star !
    cheers, d

Nice pics... but spare a thought for those on the wrong side of the catch fencing.
I was very impressed by the whole show. There was a clip on BBC1 just now - claimed attendance of 80,000, Brands biggest crowd since the 1986 F1 GP apparently. (interesting to see what the ticket price will be next year or am I being too cynical?)
This event can only be good for the sport
My ears have just stopped ringing - a great day.

Likewise - I left just as the TGP race was starting. I still bear the scars of the British GP 1994 when it took 3 hours just to get out of the sodding car park.

I was at Brands all weekend. Arrived Saturday 9am, left Sunday 6:30pm (then joined the queue to get out the car park...). It was indeed a great weekend - even from trackside. I was sitting at Paddock Hill Bend at 5:45am Sunday morning...

Took loads of pics but haven't reviewed yet. Will post if they are any good...

Just heard on the news that Nelson Piquet Jnr took the win. Didn't I tell you boys to look out for him as the next champion on a previous thread?!?!?

    Was Rosberg Jnr there?!?!??!

Wow, what a nice collection of lollipops. I wouldn't know which one to lick first. Mind you I wouldn't mind any of those ladies becoming the next lollipop crossing lady at the school round the corner. They have a real dragon at the moment.

was there too, fantastic event and one which I really hope catches on. The man said it all at the start...'gentlemen, for your country, start your engines' priceless. BTW how on earth did the Brazilian pull away so strongly, word where I stood was Kate Moss was involved!

I doubt 80,000 and Brands has never had that many for a World Superbike round (they always inflate the gate size) - I would say about 70,000 max (it wasnt packed) and biggest SBK is about 50,000.
