    Printed on GOLDEN pages apparently....

    Going price? I was told Euro 20.000 and upwards. Original price in 2001 was Euro 12.750.

    That is incredible. I remember seeing this book somewhere (was it the owner's site?) and thought wow it's like artwork in book form.

    it's not my copy yet as the guy wants a fortune for it and I'm trying to find out if its justified.

    Literal translation is "the book of gold" or "the book made of gold" but the real meaning behind the title or the proper way to translate it into english would be "The Golden Book"

    The pages are supposed to be true gold leaf, hence the name of the book.

    It is a small book with gold leaf pages.

    Sorry Jack, I think its excessive too. Its chestnut presentation box is lost on me. Id prefer a big fat conventional book with beautiful photography and loads of historical facts over that anyday.
