Yea, partying all night then decide to go for a predawn blast. Besides, relatively rare and high profile cars are not stolen(and driven wrecklessly to attract attention) that frequently AFAIK. And, car thieves usually work alone. We'll see what the cops say.
I'm at work, but trying to stay tuned to this thread for any and all information available... Thanks for the frequent updates, folks...

How many times must we say to slow down on those windy roads in California! It kind of looks like those squishy pictures... By the looks of it, it would be rare that a driver gets out of a crash like that. Best bet to live would to have been tossed out...
I was trying to figure that out... I did a search for all the red Enzos with black interiors in California and came up with a few... 128797 is red with a black and red interior and was for sale at Concorso Italian last August... The car may not still be in California, but I can definitely place it there at some point in time... 130270 is red with a black interior, but I don't know where it is... 130727 is red with a black interior and has California plates... 130918 is red with a black interior, but I don't know where it is... 133035 is red with a black interior, but I don't know where it is... 133917 is red with a black interior and was once for sale at Silicon Valley Auto Group, placing it in California at some point in time... 134291 is red with a black and red interior, but I don't know where it is... 134597 is red with a black interior and is in California (or was recently)... 134956 is red with a black interior, but I don't know where it is... 128799 is red with a black interior and has been in California at some point in time... 130729 and 136081 are red with black interiors, but I don't even know if they're US cars or not... I guess we'll have to wait it out... The media will be most helpful with this, as they'll tell us who the driver/passenger was as soon as they know...

Could it be the West Coast Customs Enzo?? Thats the only one I know of thats red w/aftermarket wheels in CA.
Channel 5 KTLA is reporting a crash of an Enzo on the Coast Highway in Malibu, California. CHP estimates the speed of the vehicle at impact at upwards of 200MPH. The rear separated from the front, the engine is 1/4 mile up the street and the front of the car skidded all the way to the final spot. Both occupants emerged intact, bruised but not seriously injured and the right scissors door is still operating properly! Neither occupant will admit to being the driver. Maybe someone's mechanic was "test driving" the car?? Helicopter on scene, looks like a utility pole was involved. Maybe someone can graft the rear of a VW Beetle onto the front and end up with a VW Enzo.
Nope. Reports are that he was traveling at a high rate of speed and hit a pole. Two people in the car, both ran away after the crash but have since come forward.
