I'm sure everyone knows about No Doubts "348 primer" page. http://webpages.charter.net/aircover/348/1994Ferrari348Spider.html With his permission, I've taken it and started to develop a 348 website around it. Which is where you guys can help. I need content for the site. In particular: 1. Owners page (List of owners and their model/chassis numbers) 2. 348 videos 3. Gallery of pics of owners cars and info on mods created. 4. Anything else that will help. The idea of the site is not only to have a centralised place for all things 348, but to dispel much of the negative and incorrect opinions about the car. It's all non-profit making and free to use and belongs to the 348 community. So if I ever upgrade to an Enzo, someone else can take over. If anyone has web design experience that could help us out, that would be a bonus. You can view the site here www.the348.com, but remember that it's still under construction, about 50% left. The technical section has been divided into parts and once completed No doubt will hopefully still be looking after it, as most of you know, I just about know which end the engine is in. Direct link to tech section is here: http://www.the348.com/technical/techLibrary.html Feel free to post up any thoughts, idea etc
Great idea Sy, and I'm happy to help out You already have my best videos. Let me know if you need anything else from me. A funny thing happened yesterday by the way. I was speaking with someone about Ferraris and I said I had a mint RHD red/crema 348 spider, and he replied it's an extremely rare car but he just so happened to have seen a "really nice one" at the weekend. It turned out to have been in fact my car at Groombridge that he saw So, still very rare Jas

Great, I'll add an article section as well. You can either post it up here or email it [email protected].
Sy is doing great work. The main complaints about my original 348 Primer page, which I consider to be quite valid points, have been: 1. poor presentation 2. lack of 348 URL 3. Not interactive enough, other 348 owners were almost excluded from contributing Sy also has a Ferrari pro verifying the tech advice, being proactive about the existing content. So I say give Sy a round of applause for taking the 348 Primer to the next level! What a good chap! The348.com (has a nice ring to it, I say)
Thanks No doubt, but veryfying the data will be a bit tricky at the moment as there's soooo much of it. However, I'm playing around with a few ideas.
On the main technical page for The348.com, I think that we need a new link under "Starting a 348" entitled "Checking The Oil" that looks something like this: The first time 348 owner typically makes the mistake of checking the car's oil level when the engine cold and is not running. This usually gives a false reading of "no oil" on the dipstick because the Ferrari 348 has a race track dry sump oil system (check only when the engine is hot/running). Seeing "no oil" on the dipstick, the new owner usually panics...adding quart after quart, liter after liter of oil. Then the new owner starts the car and sees white smoke or gray smoke, thinking that major engine damage was done while there was "no oil" in the car. In reality, the extra oil that was added probably just needs to be drained or vacuumed out. The air filter and dual MAFs may need to be wiped clean (an overfull condition causes the dry sump system to pump oil back up into the air intake), too. Once the extra oil is removed and the airfilter is wiped clean, the 348 tends to run with no exhaust smoke (and there is seldom any permanent damage done from this overfilling mistake). Welcome to the 348 Brotherhood.
Sorry, must be a U.S. thing. If a store carried everything from soup to nuts, food to auto supplies, then the store had "everything." It was comprehensive, complete. So if someone was giving you "soup to nuts" instructions, then they were giving them to you step by step, complete, leaving nothing out.
Do you have any horsey pics with the hoof covering the face ? PS. Great idea re the website conversion - the 348 brotherhood appreciates the efforts of all contributors.
According to Stuart Berg Flexner's "Listening to America", the expression "From Soup to Nuts" refers to formal meals where the first course was soup, and the final course was a dessert of fruit, wine, and nuts.
that's a pretty big promise with this crowd! How many posts in the bikini thread I've "heard about" up to now with no letup in demand? do you have a wide selection of uncensored topless 348 shots for the spider owners here? or special orders
Well, I normally only design sites for my company. I own a software training company with a major focus on web development http://www.trainsimpleonline.com - http://www.trainsimple.com I could actually build a backend, and allow fellow 348'ers to add content dynamically by filling out forms in a web browser. I could password protect this so only people we know or something would have access. For example if someone has to fix something on a 348 and they want to document it, they could upload an article. Same with pictures, etc. I'd be glad to help if you need me.
