360C, would the Victorian Heritage Plates in the similar numbers be around the same with the NSW's plates?
No, the NSW heritage plates are the most expensive followed by the Vic plates. The other states are considerably cheaper- I guess it is the laws of supply and demand at work.
So scoop 'em up then I remember an auction at the Melbourne Motorshow not so long ago where they sold 2 plates in the very low 2 digits (16 and 17?) for circa $74k each. The crowd applauded the scale of the dollars spent. The same plates are now in the $1/4 million + range I would think. About 6-7 yrs ago number 4 sold for $104k.................just recently similar number knocked back at $650k. Pretty silly when you stop and think about it.
i'm trying and succeeding to get the 3 digit plates they cost $1900 from the govt so i'm buying as i see fit, so i have 6 sets
I have VIC plates "251152" ( my birth date ) same in reverse! These are black heratige plates also. how much are they worth?
Sorry mate, not a great deal. Value falls away sharply after 3 Digits; but check out these sites for an idea: http://www.vicheritageplates.com/plates_for_sale.html http://www.vicnumberplates.com.au/ShowCategoryPlates.aspx?CategoryId=9
Last night Vic heritage plate "41" sold for $218,000 according to a report in this mornings Herald Sun.
Oh I forgot, number "64" was advertised for several weeks in the Age recently. Forget exact price but I think it was sub $200k by a bit.
