Spring is quickly approaching and along with warming temps will be TWO Ferrari events in Las Vegas! March 1 – 4 and April 19 – 22. As some of you know I gather a group together for the Pauper’s Run Las Vegas twice a year – once in the Spring and once in the Fall. The idea behind the name is that it’s a “pay your own way” gathering of enthusiasts with no entry fee. A run for the “paupers” who don’t want to pay a $2500 entry fee to attend an event! The event is essentially a group of friends gathering to drive, dine, party, and gamble together. Very informal and a lot of fun! All exotics are welcome. The host hotel will be the Paris Casino and Resort. They take excellent care of us with secure parking, etc. As in past gatherings I am limiting the attendance for the March gathering to about 20 cars. I have 10 confirmed attendees who come to every gathering so there are about 10 spaces remaining. The second event – which I have offered to support – is the second annual ExotiCorso event to be held on April 19 – 22. The host hotel will be the Palms Casino. Although this event will not be a “pauper’s run” in the sense that it has no entry fee you can expect the entry fee to be minimal (around $100 per person or less). This event – at an additional cost – will also offer a track day, dinners, and entertainment. Again, these are optional. There will also be some sponsored events (no cost to the attendees) such as a cocktail party, entry to some clubs, a spirited drive around Lake Mead, etc. While both events offer different venues and different activities you can’t go wrong signing up for one or both. There is no better combination than Las Vegas and Ferraris! For more information or if you have any questions please post them here or send me a PM. Space is only limited in the March event. The April event will be able to accommodate more attendees.
Hey Mark, are you in for the Paupers run? FYI - I'm getting the same stealth treatment on my Murcie that Tim has, so we'll have front and rear protection. Hey Jeffrey, only one thing better than Vegas and Ferraris, that would be Vegas and Lamborghinis
Very funny Jeffrey lol Ok, just because I switched to Lambo doesn't mean I forgot which manufacturer is superior on the track, but you best not mess with me down the back straight
For those of you who would like to see some pics from previous events ... compliments of Frank: http://frank4cars.fotki.com/other_automotive_events/drivesruns/paupers_run_coverage/
Does this mean we get free cooking lessons, I consider myself an amateur chef and would love a few tips
Great, and hopefully all of them are driving their cars to Vegas, one of the many high points of the adventure
I've been lurking way too much and not driving enough. This sounds like a blast. Please count me in. Plus, it'll give me a good reason to also visit my parents that live in Vegas (even though I'm flying out there tomorrow to visit them.)
Jason, you live 1 minute from my house but I never see you in that beautiful car. You should come out again to the VCR at the end of the month with me.
Welcome, and you're in for a real treat. PM Jeffrey and he will send you all the details. I'll also be at VCR along with Jon at the end of the month, come join us
Thanks guys. The last Sunday of this month (January 28th) would work great. I'm getting back from Maui on the 27th and told my office not to expect me until the 29th so I have all day on the 28th to drive around.
