sorry, but I did do a search first..

My ebrake is not holding on my 25Kmi car.

Any hints for what I should look at/adjust first?

    Thanks,

    Mr.F40

I will adjust the e-shoes and then the cable. Sorry to hear this is such a ubiquitous gremlin. Best, Mr. F40

Pull the rear discs off and inspect the shoes and the internal drum before you adjust it. If the parts are shot, you won't get any improvement by adjusting it, and you MAY get yourself into a situation where the handbrake could lock going down the road. If you don't know the history of the car, it's quite possible that it has been driven with the handbrake on. Taking the disc off isn't particularly difficult.

Aye, good stuff...but that's a view with the rotor and brake caliper already removed. You can do the adjustment (presuming nothing has rusted shut or failed over time) without removing the rotor/caliper: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62780

    ...if desired.

Yes, of course. I should have been more specific in my post. :D:D

I just had that pic and thought I would post to give him a rough idea of where the adjustment is if he hadnt done it before. :):)

I hate where the brake light is positioned. It's invisible behind the steering wheel. When I was a rookie I drove many a time with that sucker engaged. I'm sure I'm not the only one. the
