Excellent thread .

I will post up a few vids of me at the Nurburgring in the coming months. I bought a track day cam last year and messed up the sound, so uploading was a bit pointless. I've got the hang of the cam now and do about 50 laps per year of the 'Ring. I'll make sure I edit out the poor language though!

Driving a Porsche 962 for the first time. I was nervous. Playing with the boost knob was cool.

Very cool! Can you provide some info on your helmet cam setup?

It is a pencil cam velcroed to my helmet with the recorder in my pocket. Works pretty good.

Just wanted to share some video of Touring club today today. Here I am with a
Nissan GTR hope you enjoy:

Afterwards the GTR driver came over to me and said he couldn't believe a Viper could handle like that. I just smiled.

You were eating him up in the corners but he had a lot of punch on the straights. The GTR is truely impressive for a 3,800+ lb car.

Hey,

I eventually got most of the "technology" working at the same time - Virginia City Hillclimb, September 2008:

http://vimeo.com/4443638

I've still got a couple of issues:
- The first timing marker at the top is a little early, but for some reason I can't delete it.
- The throttle position data input got overloaded at WOT - The graph "bounces around".

- The G/F weighs only about 100LB's, but that equates to about 3-5MPH at the end of the longest straight.....
- First year on Toyo R888s' - NO tire squeal like from the SO2A's used previously.....

Enjoy, cheers,
Ian

Ian,

I have a Traqmate complete that I was using in my GT3 RS, and I can't wait to install it in the Scuderia.

Where are you getting the RPM signal, TPS and brake sensor information from? In my GT3 RS I was running from the RPM from the ECU, the ODB-II did not work for me.

Also, any idea on where to obtain the dashboard for the Ferrari. I have a complete GT3 RS dashboard, but doesn't make sense to produce videos with that dashboard.

Some videos here:

So as to not completely hijack this thread, I'd like to answer that in the "alternative" thread in the N. Cal forum (link above) - I've already done a little "explaining" in there on what I'm doing.

Cheers,
Ian
