I watched the last hr at my pub. Good stuff. Glad to see JA get in the show. I just miss the gladiator event that the speeds of 95 made this.

I agree. 235+ (and 250+ on the straights) was awesome. hopefully the new cars (2012) will be capable of that, but I'm not holding my breath.

Arie stated today that the car he drove to 235+ was easier to drive than the car he drove the following year at 218. Complete balance and comfort. All the changes made to the newer car created so much more of a handful to drive on the hairy edge. He also stated that the difference between 225 and 235+ from turn 1 to turn 2 were worlds apart.

So if they had not slowed the cars down after that 235+ run, it begs to ask where the engineers would have them now and would we have lost drivers and/or fans to accidents? Remember Texas Speedway G's and the blackout probablity that was happening.

I saw that part of the interview with Arie. He also was inducted into the Hall Of Fame this weekend. He is a George/IRL/Barnhart disciple. Slower in a racing car is just that, slower.

Bruno lost his ride! They gave his car to Tagliani which moves Tagliani to start outside Row 11 in 33rd.

I don't believe it was correct for Conquest to force Bruno out. Bruno qualified the car, he should be the driver.

St Elmos has a new bar food menu. Filet sliders. Just try one.

I don't agree with it either, but Tagliani has the full season sponsors and would benefit from possible points.

Bruno was soooo happy during an interview he gave after making it into the Show. He really wanted to be there and race. I feel he got screwed by poor mgmt decisions in not sending Tagliani out sooner to requalify when they watched every last person go out and improve speeds by 1-2+ mph over previous day. Weather was virtually perfect for making speed. All they needed to do was stop the wind gusts.

For the record, I would like to see Bruno keep his ride. I like to watch him drive.

Quick off topic question, can Carb Day tickets be purchased at the track?

Drive right in the North gate. 30th St. The ticket people are selling to cars inline. No reserve seating till race day. Get in line before they open and you could probably park in the infield turn 3-4.

I was lucky enough to get pit/garage/suite passes for pole day this year. First time I was ever able to do that, and man was it great!

Here are some pictures:

I have a couple of extra free ones. You can easily buy tickets at the gate for Carb Day.

If anyone is in Indy by tomorrow, Wed, its Community Day at the track.

You get to drive your own car around the track at 25MPH, but you still get to drive it! Garages are open to everyone too. Enter the North Gate off 30th to do the track lap.

When you get inside the track for Carb Day, no matter where you end up getting parked. Head for the Green Pagoda. Out front, you are pit lane. toward T1 is the entrance from Gasoline Alley. All the cars have to pass through there. Check your schedule. About an hour/half hr. before the session they will start to come to pit lane through that spot.
