    My sons high school, Xavier in Middletown CT, hosts a car show each year to support the Eric J. Kalber Memorial scholarship fund. Last year my 348SS was the only exotic present. I hope to reverse that trend this year. Perhaps a nice heaping helping of Italian transportation engineering. My Ferrari, Ducati, and other friends from Fchat and The CT Gathering are cordially invited. Perhaps we could schedule a nice romp through the forest roads followed by refreshments at the show.

    I realize the weather may be an issue. I don't need commitment just looking for some friends to hang out with. How about the bikes??

    Sorry...I hadn't thought of it that way. Didn't see a scholarship donation as a business venture. Figured I was just communicating with my friends. How about if I pay the donation for you...then its free. I need to keep it real so lets say the first 10 drivers are on me...

    There are no reserve spots...Perhaps we should meet up somewhere and make a grand entrance (suggestions appreciated). That will also put us next to each other. FYI...Bikes are grouped seperate from cars. Not so seperate you can't see them.

    Does everyone want to make a full day of it, or is late morning till 2:00ish sound more realistic? I'll try to get wifey to bring awning and chairs.

    Lane, that time frame sounds OK to me. Your call on where and what time to meet. I'll see if the wife wants to tag along, and I'll bring a couple of chairs as well.
    Assuming you're coming up Rt 9 from Essex, and I'll be coming south on 9, and others may be coming from different directions, it may be easiest to meet close to the school. I'll check this thread around 8 AM tomorrow for an update.

    To be clear...Wifey may bring the awning and chairs but it will be "on the way" to someplace else. I'm very sure she won't stay. Lord knows there's a shoe sale someplace. She doesn't get the car thing. Honestly though...if you had to live with me 5 days a week, would you be able to stand me on weekends also.

    I was thinking Dairy Queen in Cromwell at 10:00 but that parking lot is screwed. Then I thought someone might like a coffee. How about Dunkin Donuts Cromwell at 10:00.

    Great time with a few gentlemen. Thanks for entertaining me. Some really beautiful American Iron. Vettes, Chevelles, Camaro's were the lions share. A good mix of Ricer's, Mustangs, Hot Rods, Bel Air's and some Antiques. If I had to guess I'd say 250-300 cars. Only a dozen Bikes.

    Pete - I need those Bimbo shots to make my son think twice for next year.

    Pat - We missed you. You would have loved it.

    I busted my Wetsuit on friday and had to get a new one yesterday before my triathlon today...
