No, I am good, no problems!!!! But I am just trying to show the people like me (a true exotic sports car owner and driver) that are really into the sports car/exotic car sence and not just posing with their Ferrari gaining carbon dust in the garage. The Acura NSX was a exotic, the BMW 850CSI was Bmw's first exotic before the BMW Z8. And saying cars like the Viper or mustang saleen S7's, GT40's are not exotics. Crazy talk!!!!!!!!!! Maybe in the 80's there were no american exotics but since the early 90's, the times have changed with the apperance of american and other exotics.

I think that term "exotic cars" is dying and the icons are been mixed together with a lot of wanna be exotic. A manufacturer comes out with a new expensive car and right away it gets the term thrown at it.

Again you have not been reading the facts posted above. How is that wanna-be?? I think Ferrari is a wanna-be performing, really highly overrated exotic car (with exceptions for ferrari Enzo and FXX). Any ferrari under that level is overrated and under performer. An "Exotic" car is more than just a simply an expensive car..... Geesss guys!!!!! Are you guys serious?!?!?!??????

Call them expensive, fast, but not exotics. The NSX to me is far more exotic than a Viper, no taking straight line performance into consideration. An S7 is a wanna be supercar, period. You forgot the bmw M1, the only exotic bmw as the other two are just rare.

Perhaps another way to look at an exotic is that is demands and provides something more than a regular car. The reward is great as is the cost to play. You need an element of danger and adventure just using the car, as if the journey is much more important than the destination. Making it there without needing a 14 bazzillion dollar rebuild of the engine is cause for celebration.

IMO, a company like Lamborghini loses something in their brand image by going to simple maintenance as on any VW or Audi. A Gallardo risks becoming an R8 in expensive clothes. You need this mystique that anyone who touches the car with a wrench must have travelled to Sant'Agata and placed roses on Feruccio's grave. The parts for a service must arrive in an old wine crate stuffed with straw and smelling of musty bull parts mixed with machine oil.

YOU ARE JOKING RIGHT????!!!!!!! I USE TO OWN A NSX!!! I THINK I WOULD KNOW.... AND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS NOT A FACT.... ITS YOUR IDEAL. I AM POSING UP FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!! A Viper will run rings around a NSX in every way. My NSX was a great car but big time underpowered. An Arcua TL-type S will past a NSX nowdays.

THANK YOU, AS YOU JUST PROVED MY WHOLE POINT!!!!!! YOU JUST DONT KNOW 850 IS TITLE BRANDED AS A EXOTIC AS THE Z8.......... HOMEWORK GUYS!!!!!!

Some of you guys must be sitting in your closed garages, in your never driven-carbon dust layered Ferrari, with the engine on for about an hour now. Typing online thinking how your pasta-burner is the only real exotic out they in this world.
Is Ferrari fumes better than smoking crack???????? Because I mite have to join!!!!!!!!!!!

You are confusing your opinion for fact.

you think a Viper is an 'American exotic' thats fine. I dont. I think its a muscle car.

You have created your own definition of what a 'muscle car' is...I have my own definition and the Viper fits it better than my definition of exotic.

Its not an insult. You are perhaps giving too much importance to the word' exotic'. For me that word doesnt automatically mean a car is superior to a non exotic...its just, well, more exotic.

now is the Viper a 'supercar' ? Thats a whole different discussion than is it an exotic. A good argument could be made that the Viper IS a supercar. but its not to me because a supercar needs state of the art engineering like an Enzo or F1.

Viper, as cool as it is...is not state of the art...its a throwback car (in a very good way)

True! you are right that the M1 is an exotic in the early 80's. I am really starting my talk around the early 90's when american/ asian exotics started showing up on the exotic/supercar scene. And in many ways raping Ferrari and Lamborghini's........

    SUPERCARS DIFINITION:
Supercar is a term generally used for ultra-high-end exotic cars, whose performance is superior to that of its contemporaries. It has been defined specifically as "a very expensive, fast or powerful car with a centrally located engine",[1] and stated in more general terms: "it must be very fast, with sporting handling to match," "it should be sleek and eye-catching" and its price should be "one in a rarefied atmosphere of its own."[2] but the proper application of the term is subjective and disputed, especially among enthusiasts.

AND WHY IS NOT VIPER IN THIS CATERGORY FOR YOU? WHEN IN THE REAL WORLD IT IS!!!!!

Out of everybody here shame on you for not knowing!!!!!!!!!!

Thats just someones opinion of what a supercar is. means nothing to me and should mean nothing to you.

These descriptive terms are entirely subjective.

I owned a NSX too, I have owned many exotics and not so exotics also. I guess you missed when I said that an expensive car comes out and it gets the label exotic, whatever...

A BMW 850 isn't an exotic and the Z8 was a small run, but exotic? No. It's just a rare BMW, period.

By a Ferrari and inhale as much Ferrari fumes as you want, you may see the light and Enzo might be there to put the good word out for you.

Also my opinion is just that and in my world you're entitled to it, so what if we don't agree? God decided to give the monkey a brain.

Ok, is see the direction you are trying to take this and thats not what I am trying to do here. Some of you guys are talking un-true smack about the Viper and what you think it is not correct about the Viper. Ok you owned a NSX before, did you know that it was based off the concept car, Ferrari 408? But you dont see me on here dissing Ferrari because NSX is faster? That where i am coming from.

I havent really seen much smack talk about the Viper. Ive just seen people say THEY dont feel it is an exotic. Why are your panties in a bunch ? Okay YOU feel it is an exotic.

You stated why you felt it is...others stated why they think it isnt. Why are you so offended ?

Ive owned both Viper and Ferrari F355 and I prefer the Viper yet I dont feel it is exotic. Why does that bother you ?
