Question Pirelli HS 205VR15

pirelli cinturato HS 205VR15 from Longstone tyres in UK

It looks as if these have been released just recently? Just wondering if anyone has purchased and whats the feedback if any.

The guys at Longstone are fantastic! The tires ship quick to the USA and they have always been fresh date wise. I bought some Michelin's from Coker once and they sent me tires that were 8 years old.

Glad to see them doing the 205's.

Yes Longstone's are great.

Coker have addressed the problem with tires that are not fresh and now guarantee fresh Michelin XWXs.

I was concerned that Longstone/Pirelli was going to make a tragic mistake with the choice of finished dimensions on the newly created CN72. I see the size is not posted. Is anyone able to get these dimensions?

some added, edited email about the CN72...i asked about tread width, how do these new CN72 compare to OEM data and available Pirelli tubes.

Dear Sir,

I emailed tom as well this morning and the tires are not made yet!!
I would be interested to see the tubes valve and how it is attached to rim hoping it looks correct?

Perhaps they can find a US distributor, so we can save a few bucks on shipping.

Funny, I used to think $400 was a lot for a vintage tire, which would last me for 10 or more years. Then I bought a new Porsche. After that, I realized how good I had it only having to pay $400 per vintage tire once, instead of once every 18 months.

I am pretty sure you will find LP400 were not fitted with CN72. How about posting the pages out of the LP400 owners relating to tires, if you have it available please, to educate us if possible. I dont have this owners manual.

Here are a couple pages from the vintage Pirelli documents available to view the general specs on CN72 types. VR series CN72 are tube type tires amazingly enough.
thanks
Craig

Probably not a good idea to keep tires for more than 5 to 7 years. I guess I'm just a cheap skate, but I hate paying that kind of money on relatively short term consumables.
