Upon arrival, it was fairly obvious that it had not been cared for properly (two other owners). oxidation, road rash, scratches, swirl marks galore, and some clearing in a few areas brought down the appearance standards of the car! With it being original paint, I only wanted to go so far and leave some of the deeper defects. I put the car at about 90-95% based on the starting condition of the paint! 25K miles on the car only, but time has taken its toll as well!!!

Here are some sun shots on the starting day...there was ZERO sun when I finished the car, so I will have to go back to get some after sun shots at a later date.

"the car was kind of hard to drive with all the gloss coming off the hood" - owner said after we drove it to the afters picture location.

    Afters outside under cloudy conditions:

The crackling paint MIGHT be the original paint aging....

More often it indicates a respray at some point and the two paint systems did not get along , not enough sealer....

    Looks nice, in any event!

It's okay to do it that way, if you load them up directly they'll count against a quota...5MB allowed, IIRTC.

The car did have some paint work early on in its life. I have not found any signs of damage but the pevious owner, who was friends with the original owner, claimed there was some paint damage during shipping to the US that resulted in some paint work....as stated, probably where the paint cracking has occurred. I have not been able to identify what paint is original and what sections where painted as the second owner (1984-2009) wasn't sure either. Oddly enough I do have a quart of rosso corso paint from Italy that is dated 1977....probably ordered to do whatever paint work was done back then. I should take a picture of the can and post it.
