OK, FINALLY getting around to posting a thread I’ve been meaning to for a while. I had pulled the dash of my 360 a while back in this thread and had it recovered a year or so ago:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=256904

As I wasn’t quite satisfied with the job, I didn’t protect it like I should have so that I could justify doing it again, and this time send it out to Matt Jones at ReOriginal’s in Houston. Matt had previously done the entire interior of my 328 and I couldn’t have been more impressed with his work. See this thread for those pics:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=174763

So, in order to keep the car on the road as long as possible (as it IS my daily driver) I bought a spare dash from Italian Recyclers and shipped it Matt. Good thing I did this as it too quite some time for Matt to locate the correct sewing heads to PERFECTLY match the stitching pattern on the original from Ferrari, AND to locate the exact bright yellow thread used by Ferrari. When all was said and done, this is what I got back. It is perfection.
If any of you know upholstery, you’ll know how difficult the 360 dash is to do, with its long curving stitch lines, the tight corners around the instrument cowl, etc…Trying to keep those lines straight and the spacing even on the stitching is near impossible…but he did it!

He also used a more modern foam padding under the leather and a newer, more heat and humidity resistant adhesive. Since I have the car out in the sun for hours at a time in south Louisiana heat and humidity I had Matt make a custom cloth cover to protect it. He even stitched the cover with the yellow thread that matches the dash pattern underneath! I still have only managed to remember to cover the dash with it about 30% of the time I park it. Despite that, there has not been a BIT of stretching of the leather over the past 7 months that the dash has been back in the car. And that’s with some of the hottest days on record this summer.

So in summary, if you need your 360 dash redone, Matt at ReOriginals if your guy. He is now set to go and the turn-around should be MUCH less than what I had since I have him all ready for you. ;)

Below are this pics Matt sent me of the dash as it was stripped, prepped and the finished shots.

OMG. That's super impressive. That dash re-upholstering/restoring would have taken its pound of blood/sweat/time from you.

Now where's my jaw.. ooops there it is on the floor!

I have never posted before but looking at your pictures and what you have done on both of your F-cars blows me away. I have been so reluctant to purchase a Ferrari thinking it can't be worked on by the owner so I stay with safe German cars. You have given me the courage to get serious about this now.
Also living in New Orleans and knowing the area I can't imagine the looks you must get driving a yellow spider in Ponchatoula!!

LOL! Yep; they all know who is driving 'that' car. ;) And many of the locals have driven it themselves; I share it. I get as much enjoyment making someone's day that would have never thought they'd drive a Ferrari in their entire life as I do from driving it myself.

No pics of the full interior, but it looks pretty much like any other 360 black interior with yellow contrast stitching :)

And pricing was kind a grey are between me and Matt as there were SO many delays and he felt I was such a patient guy.

I'm guessing he'd charge 3-4K. But call Matt and see what he tells you.

DM hi my friend Im a newbie and I was wondering would you happen to have the instructions or could you direct me where I can find manual step by step instructions on how to pull the dash for a 360. I too like you did plan on pulling my dash so it can get re-done. By the way, your dash came out PERFECT!! Looks awesome! Could you also send me the contact details for your guy that re-upholstered your dash. It truly looks awesome!

    Thanks in advance!
