Please get a GoPro camera and mount it on the rear bumper or a chase car. I want to see the blue flames!!!!! Come on what else are you going to do with all of your $$$$??
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll give it some thought. Meanwhile I'll get the sound system hooked up. Then I'll see what's next on my to do list. I'll post more pix later.
Just some more pix to share before I get that race camera for the blue flames... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Point taken Matt. Coming right up. Glamour shot of the new Capristo Scuderia muffler from the Scuderia complete system and not the Scuderia Twin Sound (notice the valves missing from the center muffler box?). Carbonio carbon fibre air box lids will be added next. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fantastic pictures and mod! I have one question though. Where did you find/ordered the 430 logo fixed on the grill? I'm looking for something simular Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fantastic works.... One small thing I notice, there should be two small metal plates above your exhausts next to the plate lights. Because the area gets very hot. I think it's worth check it out.
Stef. I am using a genuine scuderia rear emblem. I had the scuderia letters Sri Keres over with cf film and finished the end portion with tri colors. Then the entire badge was lacquered and baked. One question for you though. Any performance implications if I were to upgrade the front brakes to brembo gtr 6 piston system with 380mm vented discs but leave thd rear system as factory non ccb?
Thanks mate. That was the exact question I asked before but got no response. I saw one of the scuds in a YouTube video that had the plates and that struck me to be something necessary. Then again the end pipes do stick out by quite a margin so I believe the heat the exhaust gases should be expelled far beyond the bumper arches. Always pays to be careful so I'll look into a neat way to put the shields on without making it look like a slap on job. Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks for the info. That's a very nice badge Regarding the brake upgrade, I don't think it is that easy. Upgrading to 380mm rotors will add additional weight. Their is also some math to do as the increase in brake force may not match the values of the EBD and the front - rear brake balance will be seriously changed. I'm not an expert but I would ask advice to CWWHK who did some great work in this domain.
Wouldn't it have been easier to just purchase a Scud from the get go? They are selling these days for 40k above normal F430's ?
Hate to repeat myself over again. Where I live, scuds are at a premium of over 150-180k. I am no retard. At a premium of 40-80k I'd jump ship at an instant. Hope this clears things up.
I like what you have done to your car! Who cares what others think. You have had fun with the mods and you still have a comfortable interior with carpet and livable seats with the 430 interior. I find the scud seats miserable, just my opinion....
Thanks Stef. I thought so too as thd Brembo 380mm discs are heavy as. I had this upgrade on my M6 with 8 piston front and 4 piston rear with 380mm all round. The weight of the rotors was no joke. I too fear it may cause an imbalance. Even if I upgraded both front and rear for my 430, thd sheer additional weight of the kit may equate or exceed thd gained braking ability.
Oh man, I've heard about their ridiculous duty taxes! I heard a Corola costs almost $100k in Singapore, they really encourage public transportation and limits the number of license plates out there.
Haha...word spreads like wildfire. Yes, it's ridiculous and public transport ain't exactly cheap as well. Which makes me appreciate my 430 so much more.
So 430 Addict what is your honest opinion vs expectations wit the Capritso full SCUD exhaust system is it worth circa 15K USD fitted ???
