FYI, the diaphragm is now a stronger one, so the fatigue problem you had on the old one shouldn't happen again, but the master cylinder size is still the main problem with 348 clutch design.

Also, the pressure plate fulcrum has been moved, meaning you get a pedal that feels the same, but it also has a higher clamp load on the discs.

It'll possibly have a tiny bit of judder at idle when pulling away, so 1200rpm or so will fix that.

Stephens had a little judder for a short while, but last time I saw his car it was fine again.

    No everything stays the same.
BTW you only get judder with the clutch if you ride it.

Dont forget to align the (big red) index marks, so the 8 paddles align correctly.

And note the assembly marks for the rest of the clutch, for balance.

    they're 500g: http://enemyoftime.com/yapig/view.php?gid=15&phid=1

stock. they're from a 1969/70 fiat 124BC, 1608cc. can't get replacements, have to be custom. couldn't afford that option at the time... well, still can't, :( so that'll have to do until i can get a 308 engine in there.

    80x80.

engine's already back together and not pulling it apart again until it blows up. had some test runs a while ago, goes hard. still got lots of werk to do on it (figger $10-15k for suspension, brakes, wheels, replace some panels with fibreglass, rewiring, dyno, reupholster, repaint...) but ran out of pockets.

well, that can wait until i get fired so i can start making enough to spend on cars. pistons are about the only original thing left original! actually, those flycuts were made deeper to clear the valves at high rpm. could turn some weight off the crank and flywheel, other than that not much else can do to that engine except dry sump, titanium conrods, EFI and boost.
